8th Grade Sci. Field Trip Field Trip Dates: Fri. April 13-Sat. April 14, 2012 Cost: NT$1500 on March 30, 2012 Dear 8th Grade Parents,
At a glance:
I am excited to share the details of our 8th grade Science field trip that will be taking place in April. Students will be leaving Kaohsiung American School for Kenting on Friday April 13 at 8:15am. We are planning on arriving at our place of lodging, the Kenting Youth Activity Center before noon. Students will be placing their belongings in their rooms and eating lunch before heading to the Kenting National Forest Recreation Center. We will spend Friday afternoon hiking a bit and visiting amazing Earth Science related natural features such as the Fairy Cave, the Stalagmite Cave, the Silver Dragon Cave and the One-Line Sky. The hiking trail and natural features located at the Kenting National Forest park have well maintained walkways and trails as well as safety barriers to keep visitors out of unsafe areas. After our visit to the National Forest we will return to the Youth Activity Center for dinner. After dinner students will have some down time to socialize, play board games, and socialize. This aquarium is one of the best in all of Asia and we are very lucky to be in such close proximity. It is home to rare species of marine life and as well as a large Whale Shark. We will also tour the Ancient Ocean exhibit that demonstrates the birth of the Earth,
