Derrick Bernard Early Life: -When Ella Baker was a young girl she was known to be both sassy and bossy -She was a type of person who was known as an independent minded person. She followed her own thinking. -Ella baker did not get to see her father a lot due to the reason that her father could not move in with them because of his job. Interesting Facts: -She Died of her Birthday -In 1957 Baker and several southern black ministers and activists established the southern Christian leadership conference. -She was a founding member of the young negros cooperative league. Ella Baker in my opinion is one of the most helpful and determined people I have ever heard about. Ella Baker growing up looked like a leader and she got the chance to be one. In Norfolk, Virginia, Ella Baker became involved in political activism in the 1930s. She organized the Young Negroes Cooperative League in New York City, and later became a national director for the NAACP. She helped with the children nonviolent committee, which made a difference in the ways things were handled. I believe that without the things Ella Baker got to do, we would not be the same. So why do I believe she should be inducted into the hall of fame? Well because she was the person that everyone needed in life. The one to look up to. Ella Baker went for what she believed in and that what trying to make everything equal. I think Ella Baker should be more than just be inducted into the hall of fame. She she be remembered for everything she did.
