Early life  Ella Baker was raised by Georgianna and Baker. Her family moved to her mother hometown. Baker’s grandmother had been enslaved and whipped for refusing to marry a man chosen for her by the slave master. Interesting Facts  Baker was valedictorian of her class at Shaw University in Raleigh. After college Baker moved to New York City. Where she immersed herself in the culture of the Harlem Renaissance. Baker was married for 21 years to T.J “BOB” Roberts. She began to work for (NAACP) as a secretary. She then was an organizer of (SNCC).


Why does your person deserve to be inducted into the Black History Hall Of Fame? Ella Baker should be inducted into the Black Hall Of Fame because she was a hard working leader. Baker mentored Rosa Parks through (SNCC). S he also worked with Martin Luther King, Thurgood Marshall to help the United states to become equal. She then became known as some civil rights leaders. She brought people to believe in what she wanted to achieve.
