CRESCENT LAKE DEVELOPMENT Crescent Lake Development, located in Bryan-College Station, Texas, was developed through a team project. Land uses for the area were determined by how suitable each were to the area based on different conditions. The goals for the area were to create a more walkable community and for the development to be the premier living space in the Bryan-College Station area. Lastly, a plaza was designed in one of the multi-use areas as a major outdoor attraction for people to travel to.

The use of a road network was adopted to promote safe vehicular travel through the area. Multi-use areas were added along the road network as trip generators or places where people would travel to. Moreover, the multi-use areas were designed into 3 major nodes in the development. Furthermore, a greenway was placed throughout the development and along the multi-use area as an environmental passage and area for passive recreation. Lastly, each land use in the development was planned to be 1/4 of a mile from the multi-use areas in order to promote walking.

BELIZE RESEARCH RESTORATION Belize Research Restoration was a group project to design an area along the coast of Belize. The area was developed as a research center in which researchers could work and live with access to the land and ocean. The goals for the area were to create a sustainable landscape through minimizing damage to the land and design for outdoor research and educational facilities.

DIVERSITY PLAZA Diversity Plaza was a redevelopment project on the Texas A&M University campus. The site is a major thoroughfare on campus in which many students travel to class. The new design included more resting and seating areas in the plaza. Next to the seating area, a water table is located to promote a cooler temperature in the area.

WATER LINES Water Lines is a built model of a wetland park. The plant of choice throughout the park is Equisetum which is placed along lines of cortense steel. In this way, the visitor will be met with a wall of plants in some spaces while being able to see through the lines of plants in other spaces. The park promotes a new aesthetic experience along different parts of the path.

LEE FAMILY TOWNHOME The Lee Family Townhome was a built model of a townhome in which certain conditions were met for the family. A study of space and activity areas was performed. The yard was designed on a grid pattern and includes a pergola, lawn, and green roof on top of the garage for the family to use.

Recent Work This is a re-design of a plaza in downtown Bryan, Texas. The plaza is located in between the La Salle Hotel and Papa Perez building. I wanted to create a distinctive landmark, create a space for human safety, and promote sustainability. The design portrays the culture of the area through a main focal point of a fountain and sculpture. Different circulation of paths for vehicles and pedestrians as well as the use of vegetation and a creek promotes human safety. Lastly, the use of porous paving and plantings native to the area promote sustainability.
