The actual form of the house could resemble many things. It could be the wooden barn put on top of the base of the stone building which left there, it could be two houses in the process of merging together in between which we can see the existing

storage houses it could be the hangar for Zeppelin. Imagination is the only limit. The actual AlpHouse articulates the transition between the enclosed space “inside” and the garden. Its two fronts make it react to the both sides as you can come either from the side of the town or the other one. It is a symetry in asymmetry - big and small parts. The shape of the house makes the transition from the entrance to the arden smoother. The construction of the AlpHouse is made of brick in the ground floor. All the floors above are wooden. Orientation with larger windows almost towards the south and smaller ones towards north try to make the solar gains as high as possible. The three stoves in combination with highly insulated house are the source of heat for the house.

The solution could be found in defining the hierarchy of the spaces based on the importance of the buildings. The means to reach this is the hierarchy of surfaces defining the front spaces of important houses, walkways and the ordinary paving, the visual connections but those of the kind when they just give you hints of what could be expected behind the corner. There are very well defined spaces but also spaces that look left behind.
