For our readers, where do you come from? Who was 3D as a kid? i was born at Charles Howard Memorial located in St.Croix U.S.V.I, and moved to Florida around 1988 when my mother and father divorced leaving her with full care and custody of me and my sister. Life for me Began in Broward County, FL and slowly moved north until i was in W Palm Bch around 2002-2003 after graduating Highschool. I’ve had my troubled times mostly from looking up to the streets to learn what my father wasnt there to teach me. While growing up i would invest any money i could get into music equipment from turntables to microphones and recorders and was always interested in all the elements of Hiphop. I recall going thru a Dj, B Boy, and grafitti phase! Always keeping up with magazine subscription at that time was the only way to keep up with news in hip hop music. After gradutaing high school is when troubles began for me going from multiple marijuana charges to recieving 2 counts of firearm possession. That situation woke me up to the people around me but i continued on until i was charged with grandtheft in 2010, which i was given probation for. During the probation period, i was doing anything i could to survive and keep the bills payed until i was pulled over near the end of my probation period and violated with something petty but at the time my girlfriend was 7 months pregnant with my first child and i was forced to sit in jail for a few months. That was the last situation that opened my eyes and made me realize my life was about to turn for the worse and if i didnt fix it quick, i woulda did somethn that would’ve kept me from watching my daughter grow. Since 2011, i been focused on music and other entrepreneural as i continue to work on being successful. How did you get into music when you were younger? That special time you discovered your talent? My family was heavily influenced in Latin music. Growing up all i ever listened to was my mom playing Gloria Estefan, Jose Feliciano, and Franky Ruiz. It was one of my cousins who put me on and gave me her old cassette/ LP stereo boom box... i will never forget it. She gave me 20

box of tapes with the stereo and there were like 3 tapes i consistantly played daily... Michael Jackson “Dangerous”, Heavy D “a Peacful Journey” i think, and a Madonna tape that had the song “like a prayer” on it. Then my first Rap music tapes were Warren G “Regulators”, Luniz “Operation Stackola” and 2Pac “All Eyez On Me”. I always loved 2 pac’s music when i got my first Cd player i had birthday money one year and bought the same 2Pac “All Eyes On Me” but on Cd. Since then i’ve grown and developed as hip hop music grew and developed. Nowadays, i still enjoy all types of music my favorite era of music is 90s hip hop. Sounds like you have a real good buzz in your area... How can you describe Hip Hop in Palm Beach? Hip hop in Palm beach is different. Everyone has there own stories to tell about the struggle we see and go thru living in south FL. Yes there are nice and wealthy areas but most of us are less fortunate to grow into wealth. Some of us have to fight through the struggle and earn wealth so we tell those stories while we continue to work towards success. Everyone has there unique sound, shoutout to CastroBeats305 at Major Liqz studios.. he Supplies most of the city with production and engineering. So far, what are your 3 biggest Highlights? A major highlight was when i got a feature with Gucci Mane. The song is called “Burnt UP” and also features Skreetz (Str8Drop Records) and is set to drop this summer 2013. Another highlight is getting my first Air Play for new singles titled “Foreign” and “Fly S***” . The stations that play or have played foreign are 93.5 KDAY, POWER106, MEGA 95.5, PARTY 105.2, POWER 96, WILD 98 etc. Also after releasing my first inde-

“I created the song but LayZeyeMedia is responsible for the ideas in the visuals. It was just a random song i recorded and will remain unreleased so Youtube is the only place they can hear/ see that song.” -pendent project i’ve gained local respect and have worked with artists and producers who have been known throught the region and have been doing shows more and more consistent. Let’s talk about the Pandemonium video... It became viral and you get such a good buzz! What is the concept behind that song? I didnt know the video would reach out the way it did. I created the song but LayZeyeMedia is responsible for the ideas in the visuals. It was just a random song i recorded and will remain unreleased so Youtube is the only place they can hear/ see that song. My new videos Fly S***, APB, and Drive Slow at the moment are recieving a greater buzz and they continue to grow as more websites and Blogs pick them up. Look for it on Youtube channel LayZeyeMedia, AllHipHop, and other hip hop media and Blog sites. Do you think videos are the best way to market music nowadays? Yes i believe videos is a great way of reaching out to people. Visuals make a big difference when it comes to interacting with people. I’ve heard a few songs i didnt like until i seen the video and loved the song after. Sometimes it takes a video to paint the picture. I’ve been growing and making videos with LayZeyemedia for almost a year now, we’ve recorded at least 15 plus and plan on recording a lot more, Also working on Documentarys and Short Films. Who is the team behind your movement? My team consist of Me, The CEO and Videographer LayZeyeFilms, OTG Benjie, and the Financial Chief, Jose Chacon. In 2012, we created RackedUP ENT. My engineer is located in California, he goes by MikeMartinMusic. I work with a few consistent Producers, Noble Beats the producer of my first 3 singles “Foreign” “Fly Shit” and “Burnt UP”, Beatfantik the Producer of “BirthDay Suit” and “eX n Os”, and NewGroundBeatz the producer of the 2 songs APB, and Drive Slow that ive done videos, also CastroBeats305

Mi Cocina Mixtape vol 2 will be releasing Labor Day. also look for Roll Rich Co, and Phuck Phriends Clothing.. 3D!” Describe your music in three words and explain... Ambition, Motivation, Determination. I never quit! I’ve been knocked down so many times in my life but i get right back up and kept moving forward. I sacrificed time spent with family and friends to sit in the studio all day and night and work until goals were reached. “Try fail, tried failed and tried again thats determination” - DriveSlow Can you present us the Mi Cocina Mixtape project? What is your opinion about the current state of hip hop nowadays? Is there too

much violence in Hip hop? Hip hop is always elvoving, there’s always room for new voices and new talent. Hip hop is a genre of music and music is forever. I think its becoming more and more influencial as the years go. We’ve came a long way from baggy pants and thuggin to tight pants on skateboards thuggin. I think Hip Hop will always be categorized as viloent music. Also more artists are starting to branch out into other venues like fashion which also plays a major role in hip hop music. What is your message for kids...those young Hip Hop addict!? How do you imagine 3D, ten years from now? STAY IN SCHOOL! yea you hear that everyday but its not until you get older when you realise the importance of getting as much education as you can before becoming an adult. Make plans and have goals, make the goals reachable and when you reach it set another one. Never give up if your chasing dreams they might seem out of sight until you put in work needed to put them in sight. Ten yrs from now i see myself with quit a few released projects possibly under a major label, or distribution for our label. Also looking to pursue filming with LayZeyeMedia and start my own clothing company. I plan on venturing off into other buisnesses as the time comes.

What are your dreams? My dream is to become wealthy off of the hard work i put into making music and open doors for my daughter that i didnt have open like college. Help my mom retire early because knowing she’s still working makes me more determined on being successful. I would like to some day start performing for stadium sized crowds with live bands and create classic music that people from all regions will enjoy. Why are you the FRESHEST 2013 artist?? What are you cooking? I work with the hottest engineer on the west coast, I work with some of the Dopest Producers, i release music videos consistently with the team around me. Mi Cocina Mixtape vol 2 will be releasing Labor Day. also look for Roll Rich Co, and Phuck Phriends Clothing.. 3D!

Your first hip hop krush? I’m from Fort Greene in Brooklyn, New York. I grew to love Hip Hop from my favorite rapper Notorious B.I.G. My older brothers listened to rap music all the time and argued about their favorites so I was always eavesdropping on the discussions and the radio… um I think we only had one radio in the house lol. Before Biggie, I used to like a rapper if I liked the beat and I thought the rapper was a cutie. Biggie forced me to listen to the lyrics and he was such an amazing storyteller … and he was soooo ugly to me lol. When Biggie was rapping on ‘One More Chance” I was laughing like nah son he paid those girls to stand even 5 feet next to him. LOL he won me over though (not physically) lol I just have so much respect for his lyrics and flow. Krazy story... Hmmm well a couple of woo-sahhs later I can laugh at this! My first show on the “Unleashed” promo tour was a doozy ... getting there anyway. I over packed because well I’m a girl and tend to bring everything I own for a one day trip. Ended up having to dump everything to make room for the merchandise I was selling at the show (posters, t-shirts, CDs) and then had nerve to miss my flight GRRR! Ahem ... I won’t name names LOL. Next, I got hustled by the flight agent and paid extra for this unguaranteed standby flight and also had issues renting the pre-reserved, NONREFUNDABLE, rental car!! Unfortunately I don’t walk around with copies of utility bills in my back pocket GRRRR!! Now, over 4 hours late (and been growling all day), I no longer have time to stop by the hotel, check in, shower and change. AIRPORT bathroom is the new Marriott! Then, this freaking taxi guy (not knowing that we’re already 4 hours late), takes the scenic route from the airport (plays the GPS game) to run up the meter GRRRRRR! When I get there though, my attitude changed and all things were Bubbly! People waiting to see the “Bubble On Deck” was such an amazing feeling! Atlanta showed so much love ^_^. The moral of that story is don’t miss your flight lol no I just learned that no matter what’s going on in your day, when you have a show, your job as an artist is to entertain! Your projects for 2013? At the beginning of 2013, I released an EP titled P.ublic S.ervice A.nnouncement, which addresses social issues ranging from sagging pants to murdering of innocent children to overcrowded prisons. The theme of the album was “Do Your Part” meaning that nobody is asking you alone to change the world, we’re just asking you to pitch in and help make a difference in society. I had to drop that project because there were so many disgusting and evil things going on in society. It was me as a musician doing my part. Of course, I switched gears for the summertime and just released a brand new single off my new EP titled “Living It Up”. I write on so many different subjects and I’m not one to dwell on the negative for too long. Sometimes we’re in the mood to party too. With “Living It Up” track, I made this song to bring the dancers back to the club. When I would watch “Love & Basketball” I would laugh hysterically like, ohhh so guys used to dance back in the day huh … what happened?!?! So I didn’t let anybody sit still in this song, no excuses!

Pick A TWEET... “Talent is God given. Be humble. Fame is man-given. Be grateful. Conceit is self-given. Be careful.” I live by that quote because it keeps me humble. No matter how big I get, I won’t let it change me.

“In today’s game it’s not enough to be a true talent. I could easily come in and tell you oh it’s because I sing, I rap, I scat. I do Jazz, Hip Hop, R&B, Soul and Dance music. I have a vocal range from Soprano to Baritone.”

“MY DREAM IS LIKE A ROBIN STORY! I WANT TO BE SUCCESSFULL BY BRINGING SUCCESS TO MY HOOD AND MY TEAM, BY TAKING TALENT OUT OF EAST HARLEM WHETHER THRU BASKETBALL, MOVIES, MUSIC AND BUILD A MACHINE THAT GET MONEY AND BEAT THE URBAN YOUTH STATISTIC REPORTS YA DIGG”! Your first hip hop krush... I was born and raise in Harlem. At the age of 3, my family building got burnt down so we move to the eastside wich is spanish Harlem and i been living there ever since. For me, it wasnt a song, it was seeing Dr. Jeckyl and Mr Hyde in my neighborhood . People know them best as Andre Harell and Alonzo Brown but they and Johnny Wa & Rayvon were a revelation... It was the first time i saw Hip Hop going tagging on walls and B-boying Krazy story... Working at studio call Calliope Studios in the early 90’s. I got a chance to see some of the producers come through i was an engineer intern and i was sign to Chris Irwin Label and was in a group call Gangs Of Funk. Back then, if you wanted to rap, you had to rock the underground scene like Village Gate, CBsGBs and all those spots to get know. There was no internet! I have seen Black Moon, Diamond D, Grand Puba, Tribe Call Quest, De La Soul, Flava Unit, Ultra Magnetic, Tim DOG Black Sheep, Fu snickens, EPMD.... I worked with Leo Swift who was producer and member of Trends of Culture and i got a lot of advices back then from Mr Walt Evil Dee Brother and my man Lucky who is POS from Dela Soul Brother... We all hung in Calliope Studios. I learnt how to producer, manage, dj promote and film all being under Mr Chris IRWIN basically what i m doing right now! Lol It made me work for anything i want. I have seen dudes whose labels didnt believe in and cut their budgets and they had to borrow from friends and fam even get play from us and they work hard and went gold and that was big back then! So i never gave up and i push all my artists. Never give up and make music from your heart and someday the money will come! Everything gets better with time, it’s just some do faster then other but mentally got be ready when your door open... im that man today. Your projects for 2013... Next i just drop a new mixtape with DSW CIX SOSSA & PHUNK DAWG exclusive “DASOSSAWAY VOL.2 PHUNK DAWG exclusive on Datpiff and my famous remixes Vol.2 drops in July. We working on two new urban films, one about the gangs in East Harlem. Big recent gang bust some kids... They are just big mouths facebook talk but social network ruin lives sometimes. In this aspect, the next is about the Harlem Dirt Bike sense wich influences clicks like rough ryder but in the early day, it was the harlem bucaneers and black Unicorns and the young crews who tore the street up with Wheelies and trick in the late 70s and til mid so we are doing a joint on that dropping moe money EP, will Porte mixtape and we are about to drop our label Hellgate album along with film for our basketball journey showboat classic so it’s going to be a busy summer. My dream is like a Robin Story i want to be successful by bringing success to my hood and my team by taking talent out of east Harlem whether thru basketball movies, music and build a machine that get money and beat the urban youth statistic reports ya digg. Me and my crew diff cause we are different generations moving for the same cause and ending me and my team do it all. We film, produce, write, direct, make clothes and serve the community! all at the same time reaching the urban youth in masses .
