JAY MIZZ x Interview by Joha B

“Ten years later I am still the same kid from Chicago, still dreaming out loud, still banging on the door.” -Kanye West Where Everything Began…

I was born in Ft. Polk Louisiana, a small army base right outside of Lafayette then later moved to Junction City, Kansas. The first time I fell in love with hip-hop was in the 90’s around the 6th or 7th grade and it was when I first heard Juvenile’s 400 Degrees. The intro was like nothing I ever heard with like nothing I ever heard with Mannie Fresh behind the mic and then the first song “Ha” came on, I heard the drum and then “that’s you wit the bad ass benz ha” and it was wrap from there.

Krazy Story…

I was playing junior college basketball and we made it to nationals all the way to the final 4. It was in Hutchinson, KS and the kids were asking us to sign their shoes, we stayed in this dope hotel, and it was like being “famous” in my eyes. We actually ended up losing the game and scored an alltime low in points I think 39 or something lol. As a person, It humbled me because, with all that love we got from everyone, I felt like I let them down. So I take that approach to my music… I won’t let any of my listeners down.

6

My Projects…

I released two visuals already this year. A freestyle over Young Thug’s ‘Take Kare’ and Drake’s ‘Draft Day’. You can find them on YouTube. I also have my first EP coming out on April 28th titled “We’ll Figure It Out” which is hosted by Nipsey Hussle’s dj DJ VIP. I also have another project titled “Opus” that I’m currently working on. I was invited to a Cypher battle here in Wichita that will be released sometime in March as well. Got a couple interviews lined up as well. I just really trying to gain more followers and fans for this good audio dope lol.

I Am The One… #Krush

I am my fans’ krush simply because I represent them the melting pot of the Midwest. A lot of us are from other regions and come to the Midwest from the military, family, or parents split up or whatever. I rep the Midwest with a chip on my shoulder and that mentality to show and prove that we have talent. I feel as if I have next because of my perception. I’m not about the diamonds and all that. Not saying those thing aren’t something to strive for, but I feel like those will come on its own. I’m here for the crown.

I want to be the best emcee yall heard and I know it’s a learning process so I know it will take time. I don’t want to speak out of context, but I want to be the BEST RAPPER. My Inspiration... Kanye tweeted “Ten years later I am still the same kid from Chicago, still dreaming out loud, still banging on the door.” Kanye is definitely an innovator and continues to break boundaries not just as an artist but also as an individual. It reminds me to stay different from the masses and follow your own path.

ATHILON x Interview by Joha

#Inspiration “Do what you have to do so you can do what you want to do.” by Denzel Washington First Krush...

I was born and raised in Duval County ( Jacksonville, Florida) a.k.a the Bang’em because of the shootings it was known for. I come from a single family home. I was raised by my mother in the hood or what they call the ghetto. I remember the first time I fell in love with Hip Hop when my older sister was watching MTV and, back then, Ruff Riders was a popular group. This artist named DMX had this song called Stop Drop, between the energy, bikes and the streets of New York I was sold. Also the influence of my older sister because, back then, she was in a group.

Krazy Story...

To others this might not seem as something great but to a young black male living in conditions you felt you would never see success, that your life didn’t matter, racism and being told you will never make it... you can understand. It was actually the first time I left Jacksonville, FL (also known as the crab pot) to move to Orlando, FL it was the best thing I had ever done because it openned my mind up letting me know that there was more to life then my predicament I was running from, I saw different types of people enjoying life together and that’s when I knew my life could be different if I choose it.

2015...

“I remember the first time I fell in love with Hip Hop when my older sister was watching MTV and back then Ruff Riders was a popular group this artist named DMX had this song called Stop Drop, between the energy, bikes and the streets of New York...” follow me on twitter @Athilon

Currently I’m working on finish up my album Ducali and promoting, shooting videos for that project. Also I have a pop, more so rave like music single I’ll be pushing out as well with hopes of doing an album for that as well... depending on the feed back from the single.

Next HipHop Krush...

I believe I got next because my style is unique, different, but I also have something up my sleeve to change the game forever once the door has opened for me. My dream is to be the best artist or one of the best, like James Brown. I think I’m out from the mass because a lot of people who try or want to do music now have no passion, it’s more about money to them but for me it’s about creating substance, something you will remember when you get old. Plus I’m very versatile when it comes to music. No restrictions or strings holding me back.

My Inspiration...

“Do what you have to do so you can do what you want to do.” by Denzel Washington . That quote has stuck with me forever because there is no easy roads to success and you always have to do what is needed to obtain a goal...

KIX CARTER Follow me on twitter @KixCarter

FIRST LOVE... My name is Kix Carter. I was born in Pontiac, Michigan in 1996 but come from a small, greedy city outside of Flint Michigan. I remember growing up in Highland, I had this neighbor who was the same age as me and he would always invite me over and we’d listen to old Eminem CDs and play video games and such. Now I’m not trying to sound like the cliché rapper and say Em put me on but what really set me into Hip-Hop was hearing Big’s verse on “Victory”. Something about that verse and beat and how perfect it flowed together. KRAZY STORY... It’s not an individual story but it’s just a story about my music career of how I get no love from my home town. Big name artists always say how their come up came from the city and how the whole city would support them but I couldn’t even come back in three years and have a single person recognize me. I don’t understand how I get all this support from different states and cities but little to none from wear I grew up. We should be rising as a team, not destroying each other. But throughout the years it’s just made me want to work harder to get further into music and hopefully have the locals change their minds.

2015...

As of now, I have no scheduled release for a project in 2015 but we are working on throwing some things together to help move the music forward. However, you can download my 2014 Freshmen tape entitled “Eight One Oh” on datpiff.com. Also, stay on the look for my new song coming out called “18 to Life”.

KRUSH...

I believe I got next because I am one of the few artists that still appreciates what music actually is and doesn’t see it as a competition. Now don’t get me wrong. There should be a competitive side in rap but not what is it today. In my personal opinion, music is Art. Art should not be sh*t, you don’t paint a picture by ripping it apart and the same goes for music. Things just seem backwards to me and my goal is to fix it.

INSPIRATION...

My biggest inspiration would have to be J Cole and in 2009 he tweeted: “Yo I got 502 followers! Probably not a lot for most of these other rappers, but I am thankful for each person who hit that follow.” It is so crazy to me seeing that, look how far he has come since then. Now with his 6 million plus followers, that should prove that any dream is possible.

PASSPORT LOUIS

“I just focus on being the best artist that I can be and make the best music that I can possibly make, regardless of whats so called “hot” at the moment. The number one compliment that people give me when they hear my music is that they can’t define it or put it in a box.” Some may say rappers come a dime a dozen and with today’s vastly evolving rap game; we all know that everything that glitters is not gold. The universe saw fit to birth a diamond in the rough by the name of Passport Louis. Born and raised in the musically diverse Peoria, IL, 8 year old Passport Louis was being shaped and molded into the rising entertainer we’re coming to know today. Louis and his current producer- brother; the extremely talented Jean E. Quest were inspired by some of music’s most eclectic in the game. Louis and his brother Jean were immensely inspired when they witnessed the song that changed both of their lives that day called “Pot holes in my lawn” by the rap group De La Soul. As the two began to soak up this creative energy, their young imaginations began to run rapid. This was the start of how immense the passion flows within this superstar to be. AT the age of 13 being mentored by his older brother; Louis was placed on his brother Jean E. Quest’s internationally released project “Hustlers make G’s”. Those were just a few defining moments that aided into the transformation of this lyrical genius. Passport was blessed with a baby girl which changed his life forever and the way he viewed the world and music overall. This significant event ignited an even larger flame within that burns like the wildfires in the beautiful state of California. Louis expressed that being a father provided him with a new inspiration to write music from. Passport has been hard at work building his music catalog and also collaborating with various artists including Best Kept and the Pope. He has graced stages with the likes of artists such as Twista, Trey Songz, Ludacris, Big Tymers, and Mike Jones just to name a few. The first quarter of 2015 is here and Passport does not show any signs of slowing down at all. This amazing artist is gearing up for his 5th EP release titled “Global Initiative”. This will be his 1st official project for sale. If it’s not broken then why fix it, as most would say, that’s why it comes as no surprise that he will use production by his talented brother Jean E. Quest to make this epic offering.

This rising star is off to a great start as far as our eyes can see. With his opened mind and humbled spirt, Passport doesn’t have any worries when it comes to competition. When asked how he would change the game, Passport quoted: “I’m not here to change the game or out shine anyone or anything like that. I just focus on being the best artist that I can be and make the best music I can possibly make, regardless of what’s so called “hot” at the moment.” Passport is humbled when he’s paid with what he considers the number one compliment and that he’s outside of the box and uncategorized. Passport is a breath of fresh air and I know the world is in desperate need of that at the moment. This inspiring mogul definitely realizes that this is not just about your talent it’s about branding and creating a lasting empire. His goal is to create a Global brand that is synonymous with extraordinary products in a multitude of industries. One of Passport’s favorite quotes has helped him continue to stay on his grind and keep his motivation at an all-time high. “It’s easy for an entertainer to become focused on everything but their art. Great artists, however, never get lost in the distractions.” As Passport moves forward in what will be a promising career he remembers that evolution is the key to anyone’s staying power as an artist, so this is why he continues to stay consistently in a growing state of mind. “The best way to define me would be to say that I’m consistent. I am a person that you can count on to do what he’s going to do. I don’t talk much at all, even though I do enjoy a good conversation. I prefer to listen and learn things that can help me and add to my character.” Written by Joseph McKeel www.passportlouis.com

VOYCE*

THE STRUGGLE OF LIGHT & DARK www.voycemusic.com

Canada… How can you describe this country in three words for our readers? Instead of describing Canada, I’ll describe Montreal. The reason? I honestly haven’t travelled around most of Canada and I know culturally it is diverse from region to region. Just look at Montreal and Toronto, although both cities stand in the east and represent 2 of Canada’s metropolises, they are substantially different from each other. So back to my point… Montreal: Multicultural, Creative, Expressive. Montreal is a city of many cultures of diverse origins and that is, in my opinion, its most impressive characteristic. Every day you have the opportunity to learn something new and to enrich who you are, simply by absorbing and appreciating. It isn’t afraid to create and express itself. As an artist, I get to feed of that creativity and as a person who prides himself on being expressive, I am free to do so, be it with tattoos, art or however else. How is the music industry over there in Montreal? Musically, Montreal is the home of many artists, many of which have their own identity and I think that is a product of the city’s multicultural basis. I think that works to its credit and also to its disservice. Because of the richness of art, it’s easy to get lost in the sea and get overlooked. If you’re happy with being in your corner and staying there, and there is nothing wrong with that, then you can easily find your crowd here and stick with it. However stepping outside of that can prove to be difficult, but then I think that reigns true in any place. What is the Montreal touch? How did your city’s culture influence your music? In Montreal, most people have their own unique identities and that goes beyond just music, but really in all facades of their lives. I believe that comes from its multicultural foundation, we have the opportunity of learning firsthand about traditions and ways of life that are not innate to us. At the same time, like any city, we have struggles that unify us. It’s this and all other things that mold us as individuals. For you, what is the biggest difference between Montreal & U.S.A? I mean… culturally… Hell, I can’t even speak for all of USA because state to state or even city to city, there are fundamental differences. Let’s take New York and Los Angeles for example. I’ve spent most of my US time in NY so I’ll use that as the basis of my comparison. I’ll leave out the obvious difference, that is, French being a big part of Montreal heritage. I love NY, its fast moving, it is exciting. I’ve always loved the city life. But compared to NY, Montreal is small and easier for me to process ha ha. It might just be because of habitude but in NY I get lost, I feel like a pin dropped in a haystack. It’s frustrating but then at the same time I love it lol. Also the Pizza… Gotta love the huge NY Pizzas.

As an artist, what type of message do you honestly think your fans and listenners will receive from your music? In my music, I’m talking about my life, about loss, pain, lessons I’ve learned, my moments of clarity and moment of confusion. Sometimes the songs take the listener to uncomfortable places because that is the nature of things. Life isn’t always pretty and I’m only “painting a picture” as seen through my eyes. I want my music to connect with others, so they can draw their life into it and mold my words into their own. I’m not even sure if that made sense. I want them to know that they aren’t alone and this person that they are looking up to has been where they’ve been or even where they are and they can find comfort in that Can you introduce us your upcoming album AiaC (Alone In A Crowd)? It’s both a metaphor of the life I’ve lived so far and also its reality. AiaC can be seen as a positive or negative thing. Let’s start with the negative. Even when we’re surrounded by people, the people we love, we can still feel alone and I think that’s a lonelier feeling that being in complete solitude. It evokes thoughts of being different, unlike anyone else, lost in a crowd and feeling like you don’t relate to anyone. Now, let’s look at the other side of things. Being different can also be seen as being unique, and that uniqueness makes you stand out, makes you an inspiration to others. The full title for the album is actually “AiaC: Angels & Demons”. I added the Angels & Demons to fully express the duality of who I am. I am neither good nor bad, I am both, I am struggling to find my place somewhere in-between. That’s what the album is about, it’s about my life in the last 5yrs or so, about losing my mum, losing who I was and trying to find out who I am becoming. “Beautiful Pain” is an honest portrayal of how I and many other people live with pain. Sorrow hurts, it takes us down uncontrollable spirals, we lose ourselves into the darkness and struggle to claw out of it. But at the same time, there is comfort in pain, it’s easy to fall and stay falling. It’s an excuse for us to do things we know we shouldn’t and rationalize those actions as moments of weakness. There is poetry in pain, hell a lot of my songs were born from it. Anything in life has a dual nature, even the extremes. What’s the concept behind the music video? I want people to draw their own concepts of what the video means to them so I’ll keep my explanation vague. I was actually talking to someone on the day, it came out about what they thought the video was about and their explanation surprised me. It stayed in the same realm of what I was going for but they also added elements that I can only guess they drew from their life experiences because the answer was very close to them. I find that fascinating about human nature, about how we relate what see to who we are. The video when stripped down to its core is about losing yourself to darkness, about trying to struggle from falling but ultimately giving into it. Now this story is being told through symbolism in the video, the struggle of light and dark… That’s all I’ll say on that J Are you a real Mr. Dreamz? What are your dreams? All I am is a person seeking answers to life, to who I am and who I am becoming. I am lucky that my outlet allows me to connect with so many others and share my many thoughts with them. So what are my dreams? I want to be someone others can draw inspiration from, to give them a glimmer of hope, to allow them to see that they can achieve anything so long as they stay dedicated and stay fast in their actions.

CHARLES RAHI CHUN x interview by Mitchelle Baltche thoughts and behaviors. Then there are artists like Kate Blanchett, Meryll Streep, Daniel Day Lewis and Sean Penn whose works are like experiencing a master acting class - an incredible and fascinating study. And then there are actors like Tony Leung, Denzel Washington and Tilda Swenson who are simply riveting and fun to watch on screen. I’m also deeply inspired by Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and George Clooney, who are not only great actors, but leaders in our entertainment community who are using their celebrity to bring needed attention to important social issues.

Follow me on twitter @CharlesRahiChun As an actor, what are your motivations & your goals? When a creative collaboration becomes a synergy of aligned intentions and expressions, it’s magic. There’s a timelessness that happens that pierces the rational mind, and we all experience a communion that cannot be described or really planned logically. I’m also motivated by great art, which reflects a truth of our humanity that is so pure, it can change one’s consciousness and inspire a different quality of living for the audience. As an actor, my motivation is always to serve as a faithful servant to the script by reflecting humanity’s universality through specific moments of truth. Great story-telling, whatever the medium, involves a hero’s journey - a character’s inner transformation when challenged by outer circumstances to become greater than what he or she thought was possible. It’s what motivates us in life; the nature of our human spirit to defy our perceived limitations by expanding beyond previous comfort zones, revealing the beauty and complexity of our human condition. My goals always involve creating collaboratively with a team of aligned cast, crew and executives on brilliantly-written stories that illuminate our humanity and inspires a transformation in the audience, and to experience this in the form of quality television as a series lead, as well as in wonderfully produced feature films. It’s also my intention to produce my own content and stories for the film, television and web mediums. Which actors/actresses really influence you? There are actors/actresses like Anthony Hopkins, Benecio Del Toro, Juliet Binoche and Kate Winslet, who I believe ARE the people they are portraying - I love the subtleties of being drawn into their specific 20 20

So far, tell us your 3 biggest career highlights! Artistically, my biggest highlights on stage were playing Oberon in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and Tom Sergeant in David Hare’s “Skylight.” These are very rich, complex characters with huge life and death stakes and to play to a live audience fully embodying their circumstances was exhilarating creatively and personally. Artistically on-screen, I played Jackson Chen in a TV film that never aired called L.A. Sheriff’s Homicide, written by James Elroy, who wrote L.A. Confidential, and directed by David Anspaugh, who directed Hoosiers. It was dark material which I enjoy exploring within myself for a character. I also enjoyed playing the guest lead Shin Won, in the short-lived J.J. Abrams TV show Undercovers. There were scenes in both of these projects in which I fully believed myself to be these characters in his circumstances, and getting to that place creatively is always the sweet spot for an actor. In terms of greatest visibility though, I’m most known for playing Dr. Wen on Scrubs for 5 seasons, which was a very fun gig, and in the South Korean market, for playing the lead in the romantic comedy Iron Palm, which I also enjoyed immensely. Being in successful visible projects like these brings with it the pleasure of sharing stories with a broader audience and sharing that enthusiasm with your audience is always fun. What is the role you dream to get in your career? What type of character? I love roles that take the audience on the journey of the character becoming bigger and greater than who he used to be, due to what appears to be insurmountable obstacles. They are roles about ordinary people who discover their own extraordinariness, like Aron Ralston in “127 Hours,” or Solomon Northrup in “12 Years A Slave,” or Coach Boone in “Remember The Titans.” They’re the stories of the human heart when challenged to go beyond what we thought was possible. What is the “recurring dream” you have? As an actor, it’s to play the wide range of roles on screen that are so fun to inhabit in the theatre. In the theatre, I’ve played a range that includes Oberon, Hawaiian ghosts, and English aristocrats. In film and TV, I’ve also played a range that includes gangsters, North Korean spies, and world-renown scientists, but a lot of my roles, actually most of my roles, are the intelligent, urban authority figures - lots of doctors and cops. I’d love the opportunities to play a wide range of roles in a successful feature film career. The other recurring dream I have is to lead by example in our entertainment industry on issues of consciousness and well being. I admire actors who have leveraged their notoriety to put a spotlight on important social issues, whether it’s tragedies like Darfur, or the lack of drinkable Water in the world, or the kidnapping of young girls into slavery. There are many real issues that deserve greater awareness and our involvement as a world community.

ALVAREZ PLASTIC SURGERY x Interview by James Denart

22

As a plastic surgeon, what is your definition of beauty? I believe beauty comes in many different forms. It also changes from culture to culture, from person to person, and from time to time. What we in North America have set as the “ideal of beauty” isn’t necessarily what Europeans or Middle Easterners find as “beautiful”. I truly believe that beauty is rooted in someone’s character, which ultimately presents through his or her external features. It is how they groom themselves, how they dress, and how they present themselves; and that is different from person to person. In plastic surgery we are privy to an individual’s insecurities about their bodies, but I think it is amazing how addressing those issues for each individual changes the way they think and feel. It still boggles my mind how much plastic surgery can change a person’s life and how they feel about themselves. What subtle changes make a real difference in the overall balance and attractiveness of a patient’s face? What I love about the face is that you can change someone’s look drastically. The face is the central part of someone’s “look”. That being said, that is where the challenge is, because unlike the body, we don’t wear clothing that covers our faces. I think the nose is key

What has been your biggest challenge as a surgeon so far? I think my greatest challenge has been learning to deal with separating my emotional involvement with my patients. During residency we have to deal with some real gut checks. Seeing families dealing with the loss of a loved one, or traumas that leave people disfigured or permanently scarred is a difficult thing to not be affected by. I think ultimately being a surgeon; part of the strength that builds our character is to be present and a pillar of support for those who are suffering, whether physically or emotionally. Talking about challenges, do you like to perform “big” procedures more than smaller ones? Is is more exciting for you? Well, whether it’s big or small, the most exciting procedures for me are those that challenge my technical abilities. Part of why I like facial procedures is due to the challenging aspect of the anatomy and the fact that your results are presented to the world…. “face first” so to speak! I spend 2 days a week doing reconstruction on Veterans and these cases are some of the most rewarding. These cases exemplify the beauty behind the art of plastic surgery. We have to get creative and delve into our “toolbox” of tricks to sometimes deal with challenging reconstruction cases.

outweigh the risks of surgery. What is your dream? My dream is to continue to reap the rewards of such an amazing career. I hope to continue my passion of being able to change people’s lives and give back to those that are less fortunate. I get a great sense of pleasure from what I do and I really couldn’t ask for anything else. Your worst nightmare? Hurting my hands! I’m not sure what a surgeon is without his hands. Of all medical specialties, surgery requires all the senses! Where do you see yourself in a few years from now professionally? Professionally I would like to dedicate about 3 months out of the year traveling on mission trips. I would like to dedicate that time to donating my talents and abilities to those that are less fortunate. In specific I would like to direct a foundation that treats people specifically children affected by war. Most people are unaware of this, but our specialty of plastic surgery was born from the atrocities of WWI.

“Whether it’s big or small, the most exciting procedures for me are those that challenge my technical abilities. Part of why I like facial procedures is due to the challenging aspect of the anatomy and the fact that your results are presented to the world...”

when analyzing a face. Results are measured in millimeters. One millimeter here or there can change your look from a good result to an amazing result! Now when looking at a nose, you also have to look at the chin. This is where balance and proportions take effect. One thing people don’t realize is that no one is perfectly symmetrical! Actually, there is software that can provide mirror images of our left and right side, and let me tell you, this effect is truly disfiguring. So even though symmetry is important to an extent, balance and proportion is more important.

Despite your young age, you have built an excellent reputation as a surgeon. Are you satisfied with all that you’ve accomplished? I am very grateful for everything that I have and the opportunities I have been given. I’m also a type A personality so I can’t say I’m “satisfied”. I truly have a passion for what I do and for learning new things, so I’m always looking for the next challenge to conquer! My satisfaction comes from the journey of accomplishing my goals, but once I’m there I set my eyes on the next best thing!

Florida seems to be the golden area for a plastic surgeon. Are you seeing more male or female patients in your practice in recent years? The market is still dominated by the female population however recent years have shown in increase in the male population. Miami in specific is a great market, partly due to the warm weather that is pretty constant year round. This means people like to look good on the beach year round! Patient safety... I guess it means a lot to you as a professional! What can you tell us about your work ethic in this regard? Nothing comes above patient safety. This is ultimately the one golden rule that all surgeons must follow. In plastic aesthetic surgery, we deal with elective surgery, meaning nobody “needs” these procedures. That being said, we have an obligation to take into consideration the risks of any surgery. A lot of times we have to protect patients from themselves. People get the idea that surgery is riskless and that everyone is a candidate, but that is far from the truth. It is our obligations as medical professionals to educate the patient and make sure we optimize their health to have the benefits

RYAN LEHTO x CELEBRITY GENE interview by Joha B

Why did you choose the name “Celebrity Gene” for your company? The concept that I believe everything that makes a person who they are has a basis in their genes. There is a nature vs nurture debate that has been going on for quite awhile. Your environment shapes who you are for sure but your potential is in your DNA. People who have amazing talent I believe don’t learn it but are born with it an hone and develop it over time. So a result of that inherent talent often brings the person a lot of fame and celebrity. So the name Celebrity Gene. What type of services do you provide? The Celebrity Gene brand can actually put DNA into any product due to a process thats patent pending. We can preserve the DNA by binding it to a substrate which can be stored at room temperature without losing its integrity. This now allows us to be able it to be incorporated into products. Imagine a guitar pick infused with the DNA of Jimmy Hendrix or basketball shoes with the DNA of Michael Jordan. A great painter with their DNA in the paint. It definitely prevents any forgeries and imbues the product literally with a bit of the persons essence. We have a few other brands which have more practical value like our DNA Memorial Brand which allows families to preserve their genetic family history and inherited medical history of disease and mutations We recently visited your website and noticed you currently have Al Capone DNA in your store. If I was to purchase it, what type of product do I get? Can you explain to us? We were able to obtain a few authenticated stands of his hair and retrieve the mitochondrial DNA from them. We have copied the DNA using a technique called PCR. Bound to the substrate and dried you would receive a 24

small tune with a window inside is the visible DNA of Al Capone. This can be removed and tested by any lab. Celebrity Signature Series... What other celebrities’ DNA did you sell previously or currently still sell? We have several in our collection and are in negotiations with a few celebs to bring on board. We are also looking for worthy charities. So i cant answer that one yet we do have Justin Bieber from his famous haircut bought from Paul Fraser Collectibles and a few strands of Elvis Presley Hair from an auction. We were also able to get our hands on a strand of Michael Jackson’s hair but its from the Pepsi commercial where he caught on fire so its damaged and the PCR reaction isn’t quite working correctly yet. Is it also a way to sell a dream... involving the concept of “immortality”? From a certain point of view, you can live “forever” through your DNA... What do you think? It is definitely selling immortality. You can live forever through your DNA without a doubt. Having children is the only way you could before. It is a basic instinct to try to preserve your genes. Evolution is based on ones desire to pass on your genes at the expense of something else’s and your genes to dominate in mating selection. The ned for legacy I believe in not just a psychological need but a physical biological one as well. By saving your blueprint you are saving everything that made you you. There is also some research now that limited memory could also be passed on at a genetic level. Why is it so important to preserve your own DNA? Its immortality really. Everything you are basically is encoded in your blueprint called DNA. We are talking to a company

about sending peoples DNA into space and that partnership should be announced in the upcoming months. Today though you should actually get ba DNA sample taken every few years. You can measure mutation rates now and predict disease before they happen. Imagine a baby girl who has a sample taken at birth. again in early years and again in puberty. Mutation rates between those sample could be measured and potentially the girl if predisposition-ed could start breast screening at 25 instead of forty and as soon as cancer appeared it could be treated. Millions of lives can be saved. Also passing a sample to the next generation again helps doctors find and predict diseases. This is what we can do today imagine in ten twenty or fifty years. If you don’t save it now though its gone forever. You give money per each product purchase to the charity of choice per each celebrity... Why is giving back important to you? Well first I think its important for people to embrace the new DNA era as medical science is now making real breakthroughs . Harnessing the star power is a fun way to get people to look at serious topics such as breast cancer or Alzheimer’s. I was in a terrible car crash that left me with severe neurological problems afterwards and coming out of that helping and giving back has taken on a way bigger meaning in my life. Its not so much about what I can get anymore as what I can do.
