FASE x Interview by Wallace Brewer
“S/O to Faseworld Ent , Family, my main homie Kryse, be safe out there man. Also my riders OG & Tisaj , Sorority pups, Bosslife Cigars, Ant Hunt Productions, Shafase Clothing and Emotions Apparel.” Since your last feature with Mr Dreamz magazine (#Winter2012). How has your music evolved so far? My music has evolved tremendously. I have finally mastered my craft at this level. I know my lane so now I’m at peace with being a very diverse artist. What were your main challenges during the 3 past years? My challenges has been getting a solid name in a whole new market such as Atlanta. Seems as if I run into a lot of politics and more often B.S. Seems as if the key people push a chick faster than any guy no matter what he brings to the table. That’s my experience. Your biggest satisfaction? My biggest satisfaction is the fact I never gave up. Through it all I have been able to launch my water @ Fase2x, my clothing line and store @shafaseclothing make sure y’all stop by the site and get you something www.shafaseshop.com I’ll be waiting! 6
Your main expectation? I expect to land something big this year concerning my music, acting or fashion career. Hell if I win in all fields I will honestly feel like I deserve it. Your biggest disappointment? My biggest disappointment is allowing the wrong people in my life. I feel certain people has held me back with their lies and false hopes. People claiming to be managers , PR’s business professionals etc. All for a quick buck, not thinking they will be broke weeks later and have a bad name on top of that. Me and my partner Kryse is back to just the two of us and we aren’t easy with letting anyone in our circle. 2015... Will you bless your fans with some new visuals? Can you tell us more? I will definitely pick my viral campaign back up I will be working with Ant Hunt Productions we will be landing a few visuals and full
blown productions, it going to be a great year and I’m glad to be back on my grind. My plans are to drop my sophomore album “Red Roses” by June or July time frame. No dates yet. I’m still in the studio recording new music. I feel this year, I will be set up in the right position to start getting back all that I have invested through out the years. Can you present us your clothing line SHAFASE? Well just to be brief Shafase Clothing has been in the works for years. I just never went through with it. Until one day I asked myself what are you waiting for? The logo represents my childhood dog a Rottweiler named Diesel which was my best friend. I told him everything and he just laid on my lap and listened. Diesel was loyal hence our saying “Loyalty has never looked this good”. This clothing represent loyalty and pride. Make sure y’all stop by www.shafaseshop. com and visit us. Follow me on twitter @Fase101
Boome x Interview by Wallace Brewer
“Being on the cover of Mr Dreamz was a huge accomplishment (...) You have dreams then with hard work they slowly unfold, you made the cover of Mr Dreamz and you toured nationally playing sold out venues night after night. Our thoughts become reality so dream on #TeamSkywalker.” Since your last feature with Mr Dreamz magazine ( #winter2014). How has your music evolved so far? 2014 was a huge year for me, I went through a lot of experiences which definitely shape my sound. The core of my music has always been from the heart and honestly that hasn’t changed, I just want to continue to motivate my fans. What were your main challenges during 2014? Finding balance between music and life can be challenging, I’m such an extremist on being the best performer, making the best album, having the best work ethic, etc.. but I’m learning sometimes you gotta press the pause button and smell the flowers. Your biggest satisfaction? (2014) My biggest satisfaction in 2014 was my progression, I continued to grow as an artist after getting off the road with Juicy J. I hit the road on The My Own Lane Tour with Kid Ink, did other stops with Machine Gun Kelly etc...
Your biggest disappointment? Man my biggest disappointment was the level of shadiness and selfishness in the industry, it’s not pretty in here. Let’s just say I respected a lot of these big names before I met them, music if used for its true purpose is meant to deliver a message. With the chain of racism from police with Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Eric Garner a lot of these artist that have these big platforms chose to say nothing. Honestly it gave me an inner sadness and disgust, dudes rather post Gucci shoes on Instagram than actually stand for something. 2015... Will you bless your fans with a Space Jamz Vol.3? Yes absolutely! I actually released Space Jamz 3 November 19th it debuted the iTunes Art of The Mix Charts at the number 38 spot which is my highest chart debut yet. Thank you to all the Skywalkers out there! I’m also dropping the Space Jamz 3 Gold Album which will have some exclusive unreleased tracks.
What will this EP bring to our ears? I mean, if we compare it to the vol.2… This one tells my life as a new artist in the industry from the intro all the way to the end it’s just my raw experiences. Space Jamz 2 was a great album but part of me was still green to a lot of things. With Space Jamz 3, I definitely give the fans the raw report but the message is keep your heart golden. Beyond the album, what do you expect from 2015? Do you also have other projects? 2015 will be dope, just a personal feeling! I will be dropping two projects Space Jamz 3 Gold edition plus my huge debut Citizen Kane Album. On top of that releasing my DrunQ Astronaut clothing line, so I’m excited and ready to see the vision come to life. Follow me on twitter @boome1000

“I looking to be an inspiration to the youth... You can turn all the bad things in life to great things in life if you believe!” Thanks for your time Warchyld! What have you accomplished since 2013? Thanks MR Dreamz Magazine. I am honred to be back in one of my favorite publications. Time has flown so fast since I was on the cover in 2013. I have grown a lot and have received a lot of blessings since we last spoke! I have received many opportunities and endorsements in my career such as PellePelle, Flatfitty, Doubleneedle Clothing, and much more! I’ve also had the chance to shoot many new music videos, make appearances at the biggest radio stations and recieve radio play on the biggest radio stations in the US. I have truly had a great year in 2014 and 2015 will be even bigger. What were your main challenges during the 2 past years? My main challenges were establishing myself in the music Industry. As an independent artist, it is hard to makes moves like signed artist without a budget or machine backing you!
Everything I accomplished was from the blood sweat and tears of my grind. So it’s been a lot of days where I felt weak and wanted to give up but I stayed strong and had to remember I was born to do this. That’s what kept me going and kept me motivated to keep my chin up and keep grinding! Your biggest satisfaction? My biggest satisfaction was walking into Power 105 NYC with one of America’s most noticed voices Angela Yee of “The Breakfast Club”. I knew at the moment things would never be the same! Your biggest disappointment? My biggest disappointment is hearing some of the songs on the radio that are really not hits or good music knowing that i’m sitting on tons of hits. At the same time the people are missing good music and I know I will get a chance to save there ears. So with that being said, watch out for my new tracks #2015.
What did 2014 teach you? As an indie artist, I learned that you have to be wiser and more inclined to the snakes of the industry dealing with them as you’ re learning at the same time. As a man, I had to learn “Balance” being a married man with three children, I had to learn that my grind is not more important than family. Spending time with my family and making sure they feel my presence at home. It’s more important than being absent in their lives because money and fame can never replace love! 2015... “Commissary” hosted by “DJ OP” of D Block! This project is my struggle of going from jail to a polished artist in the industry. This mixtape will reflect the gritty street side of my story as well as the light at the end of the tunnel! It will be dope and I have some great features from well known artist that will excite everyone. It’s gonna be a straight dope street album. The music is fire and the videos will give everyone the vision to the music. 9

s the stars aligned, the universe saw fit to birth the missing element of what Hip Hop is missing to date, Houston’s own De Marcus Rashad. Although, many have come before him and have paved the way, De Marcus definitely embodies art in its truest form. Realizing he’s a vessel and the importance of his role as an artist, De Marcus illuminates the issues that are realistically affecting people and society. Music is one of the most powerful emotion evoking creations that brings cultures together as one. This artist has definitely found his niche by creating barrier breaking, atmosphere changing music for the soul. Music has been said to be a world within itself and musically in the world of De Marcus, evolution has begun to take its course. Influenced heavily by a musical family and other underground artists, this budding young star was being shaped and molded into the solid lyricist he is today. De Marcus saw the importance of an education early on, so he realized he’d have to be equipped to bring back that intellect that’s missing in today’s “Emcee”. With his eerie lyrical approach to eclectic productions beautifully embarrassing his style like a tailored made suit, De Marcus displays a marriage that will last beyond infinity. Although, music evolved into this outrageous variety, De Marcus never forgets the importance of making music with a message.
“Life is an emotional experience. Learning to deal with your emotional response is the greatest challenge in this whole evolutionary process. Our worldly issues are only a physical manifestation of the internal problems that we have.”- DeMarcus Rashad There were many artists who’ve inspired the lane chosen, such as: Erykah Badu, Jay Electronica, Kid Cudi, and Andre 3000, just to name a few. His amazing project titled “Star Track”, was a unique body of work focused on expressing his search for a greater understanding of self-discovery and his relationship with our creator. Spirituality and positive vibes are extremely important in his message and you definitely can hear that in his thought evoking track “Hail Mary”. Listening to this song will encourage you to release the burdens that life places on your shoulders. Already accomplishing so much with successful singles and impressive imagery, De Marcus is set to take 2015 by storm. He is eager and ready to release his new project titled “Elevator Muzak”. He explains that it’s about the emotional ups and downs we experience as we go through life. I’m certain that this project will relate to the masses without a doubt. With a promising career ahead of him, De Marcus Rashad wanted to leave his fans with some words of wisdom and encouragement. “

“Jamaica and being Jamaican is a very high prestige, profile and extraordinary brand which Jah Strenght belongs...
“The inspiration is generated from challenging times in life, achievements, spiritual and humble meditation along with the appreciation of simple but invaluable people and moments that encouraged and supported Jah Strenght movement towards a positive development.” Describe your flavor of style of dancehall? How do you define your musical background? Jah Strenght’s style defines and attaches with a series of versatility in the genre of dancehall music which best speaks to elevating, energetic, electrifying and embracing many moods of dancing and dancehall experiences to generate pleasers and receivers of various social backgrounds. As to the description of the musical background, Jah Strenght’s musical background reflects a promising and inspirational path steming from an impeccable and flambouyant association and affiliation dating far back from his childhood experiences with Billboard, fully proclaimed and professional recording artiste Erup and their stage show collaboration in various communities and venues from a tender age to this current stage to execute accordingly in crowded and appreciated locations Dancehall & Reggae are now moving into different era where the beat is now fused R&B, rap and other genres. Do you think Jamaican music will lose its identity? Jamaica and being Jamaican is a very high prestige, profile and extraordinary brand which Jah Strenght belongs, respects, proud of, cheerishes and views as an exceptional phenomenon. The terminology “Identity” defines one’s self, value and worth in awareness, consciousness, esteem, history, dreams, image, moral standards and culture. Therefore, the disposition of the subject matter of identity by itself is not lost but the music industry have now evolved with a new era, interest and taste to the music while the public will still digest, embrace and feel satisted with the material as long as it is stamped Jamaica. With the right ingredient as the flavoured spice to make it nice is Jamaican, then the market accepts it. What is lost however is a more fortified support and representation that steers and promotes the 100% authentic Jamaican style and brand with no preservatives or additives just our natural structure with culture to our Jamaican beats and heritage to the international world music market. I can say confidently and essentially that Jah Strenght like many others with the same meditation and vision will be a part of that platform that will crossover in the best of the business.
“I am just one of those authentic Jamaican man that shows true love reaching out to his woman. Behind every successful man, there is a very strong support.”
What inspires your song writing? Is there a special woman that inspires your lovesongs? Jah Strenght is exquisite with vibrant techniques that are placed on paper through deep meditations and real life experiences when he exhibits the variety of social, emotional, economical and financial topics in his music and song writing. The inspiration is generated from challenging times in life, achievements, spiritual and humble meditation along with the appreciation of simple but invaluable people and moments that encouraged and supported Jah Strenght movement towards a positive development. These core elements with energy are instrumental to the charmingly orchestrated lines and messages in Jah Strenght’s song writing techniques and delivery. Pertaining to Jah Strenght’s love songs, they are based and prepared on grounds of delicate, abstract and natural scenarios and encounters. And Yes Jah Strenght has that pass special but especially immaculately sweet with molasses charming sensation, captivating, humble and beauty filled to the brim and over flowing, articulate Empress that representes and deserves nothing less than the Best. But musical love to all my fans i am just one of those authentic Jamaican man that shows true love reaching out to his woman. Behind every successful man there is a very strong support .
Strenght have exploded into one of Jamaica’s hottest and most wanted and most demanded on the Dancehall market with the electrifying ‘ She Want it Ruff’ that have created a storm in the parties and various world stages.
Who is your favorite dancehall artist of today? Vybz Kartel will take that space connected to favourite dancehall act simply because of his definition and stance which are skillfully, lyrically and creatively designed and graphed on the right temperature of the beat to create a real life party experiences with vibes along with a comfort of joy. The dancehall atmosphere demands that condition.
Inspirational Tweet... The most inspirational tweet for me came from Craig Voicemail that states ‘The moon placed perfectly above the waves have me slowly drifting away” The relevance and eloquent thought it brings to me is that the moon reflects that sparkling idea or choice as a bright light of direction in my musical life and career so clear and transparent it reinforces my meditation with confidence of the steps to take to get there and safeguards a comfort of joy with a balanced equilibrium in my heart which signifies where my treasure exist.
Krazy Story... The predominant factor that reformed an element of change in J.S’ life which stands out and translated an instant transformation to a mature and responsible stage is the presence of his two remarkable children namely Trevor and Xavier Wright in his life that reinforced and cemented provision for a family which encourages a responsibility that became a habit with a spiral ambition to be nothing less than to attain the best as a true man in these times. The musical journey evolved with the childhood collaboration and association with Billboard professional recording Artist named Erup from the days of social interaction and viewing his performance that motivated my interest in also becoming a professional Recording Artist. We shared a few venues in several communities with performances and did a few collaborations like ‘ No Turning Back’ and ‘ She is in Love’. Now Jah
Can you talk abou the SHE WANT IT RUFF single please? What’s the concept behind it? The concept of the video entitled “She Want it Ruff “ came from the sexy appeal, dresscode, movement and romantic atmosphere created by a lady Jah Strenght saw into a dancehall venue in Kingston, Jamaica that reflected a rainbow with a colourful scene that displayed a sex appeal in image, dresscode and movement to take things to the bedroom settings. The song automatically was drafted and after sharing a conversation with my significant other whose suggestion was for Jah Strenght to make the ideal of the song more radical and rough cut. So it came to pass for a rough session on the mission and the ladies are taking it and embracing it. The song is been gravitated to and circulated in the dance arena and the Public is energized by the half time report. By the end of the match with a solid performance, the song has travelled storming through all the parishes of Jamaica, the Caribbean and surfaced on the global market as selectors and fan base take on to it.

VIBES FROM BRAZIL

“The inspiration behind Magic is about a relationship where you are confused and you kind of find yourself losing who you are, it’s like you are in an unhealthy relationship, you know it’s bad for you but you won’t leave...” How could you define the brazilian pop music? That special touch from your country? I was always interested in songs that were sang in English. Brazil is really known for Samba, Bossa Nova, Carioca funk and many other styles of music. How did your first experience (travel) in U.S.A impact on your life ? What did it bring to you as a woman ? And as an artist? It was wonderful I got to see Times Square, NY. Las Vegas, Los Angeles, I travel to like 12 different states. I even went to Detroit. As a woman, it helped me to see that the world is much bigger than where I came from. As an artist, it was great to be at the record labels like Universal, Sony, right at the foundation where everything happens. How did you hook up with YMCMB for the «Can’t Stop Me» single? Are you still working with him on other projects? There was done through my manager Charve The Don. Hopefully in the near future. Personally, and being from France, i discovered you on the song HOT FIRE ft Nicki Minaj. What a smash hit! According to you, what’s your top 3 best collabs? It’s hard to pick just 3 lol. I love the new song featuring Jonezen and Gucci Mane (Tear The Club Up), the Lil Wayne “Can’t Stop Me” ft. Rezzo who recently passed away... such a great person. Nicki Minaj, Hot Fire! And my feature with Izzy Lee – Endless. You have traveled a lot so far!? What was your best trip? America for sure ! Lol.. Your worst ? It was when I had a show and I had to travel for so long to get to the place, having to take a airplane, bus and a car to the middle of nowhere and the venue was awful...
MAGIC... Tell us more about that song. How did you find the inspiration to write it ? Magic is my new single produced by The Transformaz. I’m very excited! Available on iTunes. We shared it on Soundcloud and in the first day we had 40k plays! The inspiration behind Magic is about a relationship where you are confused and you kind of find yourself losing who you are, it’s like you are in an unhealthy relationship, you know it’s bad for you but you won’t leave it because you love that person. What are you cooking for 2015? Well recently we released the official video for the “Magic”, we got as well the visual of “Tear The Club“ Up feat. Jonezen and Gucci Mane, the single is available on iTunes too. I have my upcoming new album and I’m also working on a feature with 2 Chainz! Do you work with European artists? How do you develop all those connects out of Brazil? Yes ! Through Charve The Don and my amazing team. For all our readers... Is Natalia single ? I’m married to my music. What is the best place for a romantic rendez-vous? Well I think Paris, France. The best song to make love on? Magic. The craziest thing a fan have done for you ? A tattoo ! A couple fans tattooed my name. Any particular messages for our readers ? Make sure to get “Magic” and “Tear The Club” on iTunes. And check out my website www.nataliadamini.com to stay updated, my videos are on my Vevo channel. Like my Facebook page, and follow me on Twitter and Instagram!
