BIOGRAPHY

My passion for singing comes naturally and is one I have had as long as I can remember. The radio and I were close friends during childhood but as time went on, my realities changed. Real life hit and I grew up… After multiple failed relationships, four children, homelessness, a brutal attack on my life, and several issues with my health, I knew something in my life had to change!

My time with the band ended and I became a commissioned officer and shortly thereafter, retired from the Army. At the start of my singing/songwriting career, I chose to combine the music I love; an eclectic hybrid of pop, rock, jazz and alternative that created an Indie Pop/ Rock feel. I’ve had the honor of working with wonderfully talented producers in the past year: Jason Richard in Austin, TX, George Seals in Nashville, TN, Eddie Galan in Burbank, CA! I’ve also had vocal training with Lis Lewis in Los Angeles, CA!

I thought about how I could give back to the world and when 9/11 happened, I knew… I would pursue my passion for music and give back to the world by enlisting in the Army Band! Six months after training was completed, I deployed to Baghdad, Iraq! It was in Iraq that became the lead female vocalist in the rock band.

My new music is more defined in the Pop/R&B genre yet remains soulful and sincere. I’m grateful to my family, friends, and fans for all their support as I continue to share the emotions of life with the world through my music! I don’t see the point in wasting the best years of my life doing something I don’t love. ~NN~

“In Nisha’s recordings you can hear her passion. She has a knack for melodies that hit often enough for you to want to continue to listen. You’ll find a mix of pop, jazz and alternative. Rock is sprinkled in there too but not so much that it’d warrant a huge nod in that direction. What I mean is that you can hear the electric guitar but whent he vocals come on it’s soft spoken in most cases. Nisha also has a bio story on her website that tugs at the heart strings. Going through divorce at a young age, being a single mom and even barely surviving attempted murder she certainly has a variety of life to sort through. With this repertoire of experience it’s no wonder she resonates well with many people. In the end this is definitely music you’d find on a hit station so long as she keeps hitting her sweet spots.
