ElvenGlade Vineyard tells the story of a wine maker following his dream of country life on an Oregon vineyard. The owner planted the first Pinot Gris grapes in 1986, and for several years sold fruit to local wineries in the area. After buying the property in the early 80’s, the owner bought 20 additional acres in 1997. In 1998, the owner consulted with Joel Myers and David Lett, who advised him on vineyard design and farming techniques. He then expanded the vineyard with plantings of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay.  In the course of time he held a few barrels of wine for his own, and received accolades for bottlings that were submitted to various competitions. In 2000, he retired from his career in high tech., built the winery on the property, and started producing wine for his own label called ElvenGlade.
winery The winery, built in 2001, is 5300 sq.ft. The facility is fully equipped with bin dumper, Delta de-stemmer, sorting table, 9,000 gallons of jacketed tank space, glycol cooling and heating system, Defranchesci press, and a comprehensive list of additional equipment. The winery is semisubterranean, and a very temperature stable design. There is a small lab area as well. The winery building also features an elegant and spacious tasting and events center, with full commercial kitchen, ADA bathroom, and plenty of parking.
