Muhammad Ali “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.” The Greatest Was Born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr was born on January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. Muhammad began boxing at the age of 12. He stumbled upon Joe Martin’s boxing gym when someone stole his bike. Martin invited Ali to come and learn about boxing. Muhammad Ali had his first fight only after 6 weeks of training, which he won. Ali continued to train and fight. Ali was taught the science of boxing as well as how to move with grace. In addition he learned the necessary skills to become the greatest.

When he graduated high school, he already had 100 wins and less than 10 losses. After winning a gold medal at the 1960 Rome Olympics in light-weight boxing, he made the decision to turn professional. HIs first match as professional boxer was in October of 1960. Ali would go on to fight and win almost 20 professional matches. He became the World Heavyweight Champion when he defeated Sonny Liston at the age of 22. He had an amazing boxing career and won the heavyweight championship three times. HIs 61st and final fight took place in 1981.

Brave Boxer One of Muhammad Ali’s admirable traits was his braveness. When Ali returned home from Olympics he wore the gold medal everywhere and showed everyone. When he was refused service at a five-and-dime store for being black, he got so mad that he threw the medal into the river. He felt that the medal meant nothing if his black sisters and brothers were treated wrongly. During this time there was much controversy surrounding the Vietnam War. When drafted he refused to serve due to religious reasons. The press turned against him calling him “unpatriotic.” The New York State Athletic Commission and

Association suspended his boxing license and took away his heavyweight title in 1967. Ali was even sentenced to five years in prison but the conviction was overturned. Another brave moment was when Ali decided to take on George Foremen. This fight was suppose to be the most anticipated fight of Ali’s career. Ali was expected to lose but he knocked Foreman out in the eighth round. Ali’s final act of bravery was how he dealt with his Parkinson’s disease. The disease made Ali a more spiritual person and he raised millions of dollars to fight Parkinson’s disease. Despite this disease

Ali ignited the Olympic flame during the 1996 Olympic Games. The world watched him as he trembled with the torch. Muhammad Ali died in a hospital on June 3, 2016. He was admitted with having respiratory problems but died of septic shock.

Doss died on March 23, 2006

The Bravest man in Okinawa

Doss had went into battle without carrying a firearm in the bloodiest battle of World War 2. He received a Medal of Honor and that is rewarded for bravery. He was threatened by mortar strikes, machine guns and other heavy artillery. He was also wounded four times but still continued to save people .

“Please lord help me get one more.

Dependable Doss

Doss was very much depended on because his fellow soldiers would not go into combat not knowing that they had a very good medic who would do anything to save their lives. “I'm not going up there without Doss by my side”. Wounded soldiers also depended on him to come back and save them because he could only carry one guy at a time they had to trust him that he was going to come back for them.

Persistence Pays off

Doss’s persistence paid off because if he would have given up on saving people he probably wouldn't have gotten his medal of honor. He also would not stop until almost every man on Okinawa was safe.

“A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new Albert Einstein A Genius is Born Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, Germany and was born on March The 14th (Pi Day) 1879. He was the only son of Hermann Pauline Einstein. His dad and his uncle owned a small electrical equipment plant when the business failed the family moved to Munich to make a new beginning. A year after they moved Einsteins only sister Maja was born. Albert Einstein grew up and obtained a education in Munich. Albert Einstein was unable to speak fluently at age nine. Already at age five he had experienced a deep feeling of curiosity when questioning the invisible. When Einstein was nine his parents thought that he was mentally retarded because he couldn't speak fluent german.

Einstein's Personal Life At the age of 17 Einstein was automatically admitted into FIT. when Einstein was there he realized that he interest lays in physics not mathematics. At the age of 21 Albert Einstein married Mileva Maric she was one of his classmates in Zurich. They had two sons Hans and Edward. In 1919 Einstein was officially divorced at the end of the war Einstein was nursed back to health by his cousin Elsa. After Einsteins divorce he married Elsa, they had no children of their own but Elsa already had 2 children which they raised. Albert Einstein died on April 18th 1955 Princeton, New Jersey because einstein experienced internal bleeding caused by the rupture of an abdominal aortic aneurysm, which had previously been reinforced surgically by Rudolph Nissen in 1948.

Intelligence pays off

When Einstein was 12 he experienced a deep emotional stirring that accompanied his discovery of Euclidean geometry. Einstein mastered difficult and integral calculus by age 16. This was just the start of Einstein's intelligence.

During 1902 to 1904 Einstein reworked the foundations of thermodynamics and statistical mechanics. Einstein’s work formed a immediate background for his revolutionary papers of 1905 wich was on Brownian motion. In brownian motion small particles suspended in a viscous liquid such as water undergo a small irregular motion

Skill Like no Other

Einstein came to a conclusion that energy and mass of a body is closely interrelated. two years later he came up with the formula E=MC2 (Energy equals the mass times the speed of light squared.) that is now both farmillular to scientists and non scientists alike. Einstein proved that this net forward displacement of the suspended particles is directly related to the number of molecules per gram atomic weight . This point created a great deal of scepticism towards Einstein's theory when he created it 1905 but when it was confirmed many sceptists were converted.

Wisdom Equals Knowledge

During a single year Einstein produced three papers these papers are the most important in the twentieth century physics

And perhaps the most important in all recorded history of science these papers revolutionized the way scientists looked at the nature of space, time and matter. Einstein hypothesised that the visual movement of particles was caused by movement of the molecule that make up liquid. He created a formula that predicted the distance by particles and their speed.

Glossary Thermodynamics It is the branch of physical science that deals with the relations between heat and other forms of energy (such as mechanical, electrical, or chemical energy), and, by extension, of the relationships between all forms of energy.

Martin Luther King Jr. “The time is always right to do right.” -Martin Luther King Jr. The Start to a new Beginning

Martin Luther King giving his “I Have A Dream” speech

Martin Luther King Jr, was born into a upper class black neighborhood during the midst of the Great Depression in Atlanta, Georgia January 15, 1925. King’s father was a local popular baptist pastor. King was a lucky child to have enough to have a non racial discrimination childhood. He graduated from college at the age of 19 from the elite Morehouse all-black college. He went back to school to get his bachelor’s degree in theology at Crozer Theological Seminary in Chester,P.A.

Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. Also in 1954, King became aware of the National Association of Advancement of Colored People and the Alabama Council on Human Relations. In 1957 King and 3 other black civil right leaders were received by President Dwight Eisenhower. In King’s adult years he met a girl named Coretta Scott who he married and had 4 kids with. In 1954, King became minister of Dexter

A True Leader One trait that stood out in King was leadership. The leaders of the Montgomery Improvement

Association chose King as the leader of the Bus Boycott for a lot of reasons but mainly because he was new to the area and the white power had not yet made his contact. King also formed the Southern Christian Leadership Conference which served as a influence tool for other African Americans to stand up for the civil rights movement. The SCLC or the Southern Christian Leadership Conference’s goal was to “Redeem the Soul of America”.

A man of Bravery

Another trait that stood out in King was Bravery. In 1963 King participated in the March of Washington for Jobs and Freedom and at the end of the march King delivered a speech called “I Have a Dream” about how all people are equal in front of 250,000 black and white citizens. This was brave because a lot of people didn’t

support what he was saying and to do this in front of a group of 250,000 people would take a lot of bravery. In 1960, King went around the U.S and gave a number of speeches all throughout the country. These speeches were all speaking out on how all people are equal and a lot of people back then didn’t agree with King and this was very brave of him to risk his life to address something that he felt passionate about. He spoke in front of a full house in almost every city in the U.S.

Persistence Pro

In 1966, King started to speak out against the Vietnam war and many people thought that he should stick to civil rights and let others settle foreign policy’s but he believed that acts of violence and unjust actions were not ok. A lot of newspapers were disagreeing with King and

his actions. King decided that he would stick to what is right and he launched a “Poor people’s campaign.” which he hoped that he could surpass the idea of culture, race and religion. During the civil rights drive King was committed to his idea of idea of nonviolence. Even when his supporters and his critics didn’t understand how other races could remain peaceful in a language that speaks violence.

The end of a Hero. In Memphis, Tennessee April 3rd, King addressed a rally to talk about threats on his life. The next evening after the speech King went on his balcony in Lorraine Hotel and he was assassinated.

The First Step to Make a Difference.

DIscrimination in the U.S was a very big problem for African Americans. African Americans were forced to ride in the back of buses, and they were only hired to do the most low paying jobs. For example, most blacks in businesses were employed as janitors. Civil Rights leaders staged an proactive boycott of the Montgomery bus system in 1955, sparked by Rosa Parks refusing to give up her seat to a white male. The bus system, damaged by this boycott (and influenced partly by a Supreme Court ruling holding such segregation unconstitutional) allowed equal rights on the busses.

Martin Luther King JR. A Hero is Born Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Martin Luther King Jr was born into a family of baptists ministers.

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.

He attended public school in Atlanta, Georgia. His father was the pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. He was subjected to the lessons of segregation because of his color. After he completed high school early, he nearly entered Morehouse college

Martin Luther King jr was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S

King graduated from high school early, he entered into morehouse college in 1944

In 1944 with thoughts of becoming a lawyer or a doctor. Graduating in 1948, he had decided to accept being a pastor as his vocation. He was Assassinated on April 04, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee, United States.

In 1963 King was arrested because he and others were protesting

The Intelligent King One of King’s most admirable traits was intelligents. King was accepted a doctoral study at Yale, Boston University, and Edinburgh in Scotland. He chose to attend Boston University systematic theology with Edgar Sheffield Brightman and L. Harold DeWolf. Kelsey, a religion professor, and Doctor Benjamin Mays, the college’s president, king came to understand The social and

intellectual tradition of the ministry.

Bravery is key

Another one of King’s most admirable traits was bravery. On August 28,1963, approximately 250,000 blacks and white marched on Washington. He began his speech that referred to the lack of progress in securing black rights in the hundred years since Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation: by the time he finished, he had

deviated from his prepared speech to offer a speech wrong from past sermons and from the inspiration of the moment, his famous “I Have a Dream” Address. In 1967 he began to speak out consistently against the war. In speeches and rallies around the country, he called for a negotiated settlement. King was recruited by anti war activists to head an independent ticket for the presidential election of 1968, a position he declined in order to keep his social and moral concerns free from political obligations.

Determined King

In 1967 KIng gave his “I Have A Dream” speech

King died was assassinated on April 04, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee, U.S

The last most admirable trait was determination. For 382 days, king and the black community maintained the montgomery bus Boycott from the city and the bus line

resisted their modest demands: courtesy towards black riders, a first-come-first-serve approached to segregated seating, and black drivers for some routes. An African American nobel prize winner Martin Luther King jr. (1929-1968), originated the nonviolence strategy within the activist civil rights movement. He was one of the most important black leaders of his era.

“Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase.. A Hero was Born Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 15th, 1929 He was born into a family of ministers and was the son of Martin Luther King Sr. his father was a minister of a church that was in Atlanta, Georgia. Also he one a prize for being the Valedictorian of his class and he also won the outstanding student award. Coming out of Boston University he had many choices he could return to his college and be a professor or returning home with his dad to be a baptist of his own church but he accepted a pastorship at Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in the Deep South of Montgomery.
