Muhammad Ali “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.” The Greatest Was Born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr was born on January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. Muhammad began boxing at the age of 12. He stumbled upon Joe Martin’s boxing gym when someone stole his bike. Martin invited Ali to come and learn about boxing. Muhammad Ali had his first fight only after 6 weeks of training, which he won. Ali continued to train and fight. Ali was taught the science of boxing as well as how to move with grace. In addition he learned the necessary skills to become the greatest.
When he graduated high school, he already had 100 wins and less than 10 losses. After winning a gold medal at the 1960 Rome Olympics in light-weight boxing, he made the decision to turn professional. HIs first match as professional boxer was in October of 1960. Ali would go on to fight and win almost 20 professional matches. He became the World Heavyweight Champion when he defeated Sonny Liston at the age of 22. He had an amazing boxing career and won the heavyweight championship three times. HIs 61st and final fight took place in 1981.
Brave Boxer One of Muhammad Ali’s admirable traits was his braveness. When Ali returned home from Olympics he wore the gold medal everywhere and showed everyone. When he was refused service at a five-and-dime store for being black, he got so mad that he threw the medal into the river. He felt that the medal meant nothing if his black sisters and brothers were treated wrongly. During this time there was much controversy surrounding the Vietnam War. When drafted he refused to serve due to religious reasons. The press turned against him calling him “unpatriotic.” The New York State Athletic Commission and
Association suspended his boxing license and took away his heavyweight title in 1967. Ali was even sentenced to five years in prison but the conviction was overturned. Another brave moment was when Ali decided to take on George Foremen. This fight was suppose to be the most anticipated fight of Ali’s career. Ali was expected to lose but he knocked Foreman out in the eighth round. Ali’s final act of bravery was how he dealt with his Parkinson’s disease. The disease made Ali a more spiritual person and he raised millions of dollars to fight Parkinson’s disease. Despite this disease
Ali ignited the Olympic flame during the 1996 Olympic Games. The world watched him as he trembled with the torch. Muhammad Ali died in a hospital on June 3, 2016. He was admitted with having respiratory problems but died of septic shock.

Neil armstrong “One small step for man; one giant leap for mankind” An Astronaut is Born Neil Armstrong was born on August 5, 1930 on his grandfather’s farm near Wapakoneta, Ohio. Neil Armstrong was the oldest of 3 children. As a small child Neil became attached to flying after he took a plane ride with his father. When Neil was 14 years old he got a job at a store to earn some money to fly airplanes at a local airfield. By his 16th birthday he had already obtained a flying license.
Just the Beginning Neil’s family was poor so he earned a Navy College scholarship and attended Purdue University in 1947. There he studied aeronautical engineering. He then went to Florida for naval flight training. Neil used this training when he was in the Korean War. He flew over 70 combat missions. Neil was the recipient of the Air Medal for the United States military three times. After returning from the war he went back to receive his Bachelor of Science. He joined the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in 1955. 1930

Bravery in Space In 1962 Armstrong became a member of NASA’s astronaut team. His first big task was to command the Gemini 8. Alongside with David Scott. Their mission was to be the first to attempt docking their command vehicle in space. The Gemini 8 malfunctioned and Neil was forced to stabilize it and return home. Another act of bravery in space was attempting to do what no man had ever done before-land on the moon.

During a training session in a lunar module in 1968, the module all of a sudden just went out of control. Armstrong was able to safely exit the module by parachuting right before it exploded. I have confidence in the equipment, the planning, the training."

Responsibilities on the Farm Walt and his family were responsible for working on a farm growing up. Walt’s father was making sure that all his sons were doing what they were asked to do on the farm he grew up on. Everyone in the family would have some kind of work to do like delivering newspapers. Walt’s big responsibility was his film making.
Walt always made sure that whoever he used in his film he always made sure that they had a job to do, and who ever he used for the voices of the characters he made sure that each of the characters had the right lines to read.
Creating Animations Walt Disney’s creations was when he was making the film Alice in Wonderland, he made a live show in his garage with his own live characters. Walt Disney expanded on an idea of a creation called Alice in Cartoonland, Walt also came up with another idea on another cartoon called Oswald the Rabbit in 1927.

Doss’s persistence paid off because if he would have given up on saving people he probably wouldn't have gotten his medal of honor. He also would not stop until almost every man on Okinawa was safe.

A Hero was Born

My hero was born March 27,1981 my hero grew up in Buffalo, NY. Brian's childhood was not normal and he does not like to discuss it. When brian turned 16 he dropped out of high school and joined the marines he did construction for awhile drywall, home remodeling and building additions. After that he went on to be a certified nurses aid and worked in various nursing homes. After that he went to school to get his nursing license. As a nurse he used to work with the developmentally disabled people. He worked for ear nose and throat doctors at buffalo otolaryngology. W.B.U immediate care/ pulse occupational medicine and now he is an occupational health nurse for DuPont.
One event of bravery brian went threw was when he was on a fire call and they were trying to rescue somebody out of the vehicle he died on impact. Another event of bravery is when he was in the november storm and they had to walk in over 7 feet of snow trying to get people out of cars and buildings.
Confidence is key Brian said “Sometimes it's not being brave it is your body taking control that's why we train so hard all the time. Its being confident in your work and bringing out your strength.”
Everything and Anything During the November storm they answered over 300 calls in about 5 days. He was there 16 hours a day helping rescue people. Brain said. “We were doing Everything and anything. We were rescuing people trapped

At age 19 Thomas fell in love with a 16 year old girl named Rebecca, Rebecca soon married another man and then in 1770 he met Martha Wayles. In 1772 Martha and Thomas got married at The Forest.

Martin Luther King Jr, was born into a upper class black neighborhood during the midst of the Great Depression in Atlanta, Georgia January 15, 1925. King’s father was a local popular baptist pastor. King was a lucky child to have enough to have a non racial discrimination childhood. He graduated from college at the age of 19 from the elite Morehouse all-black college. He went back to school to get his bachelor’s degree in theology at Crozer Theological Seminary in Chester,P.A.
Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. Also in 1954, King became aware of the National Association of Advancement of Colored People and the Alabama Council on Human Relations. Association chose King as the leader of the Bus Boycott for a lot of reasons but mainly because he was new to the area and the white power had not yet made his contact. King also formed the Southern Christian Leadership Conference which served as a influence tool for other African Americans to stand up for the civil rights movement. The SCLC or the Southern Christian Leadership Conference’s goal was to “Redeem the Soul of America”.
A man of Bravery
Another trait that stood out in King was Bravery. In 1963 King participated in the March of Washington for Jobs and Freedom and at the end of the march King delivered a speech called “I Have a Dream” about how all people are equal in front of 250,000 black and white citizens. This was brave because a lot of people didn’t
support what he was saying and to do this in front of a group of 250,000 people would take a lot of bravery. In 1960, King went around the U.S and gave a number of speeches all throughout the country. These speeches were all speaking out on how all people are equal and a lot of people back then didn’t agree with King and this was very brave of him to risk his life to address something that he felt passionate about. He spoke in front of a full house in almost every city in the U.S.

In 1966, King started to speak out against the Vietnam war and many people thought that he should stick to civil rights and let others settle foreign policy’s but he believed that acts of violence and unjust actions were not ok. A lot of newspapers were disagreeing with King and
his actions. King decided that he would stick to what is right and he launched a “Poor people’s campaign.” which he hoped that he could surpass the idea of culture, race and religion. During the civil rights drive King was committed to his idea of idea of nonviolence. Even when his supporters and his critics didn’t understand how other races could remain peaceful in a language that speaks violence.
The end of a Hero. In Memphis, Tennessee April 3rd, King addressed a rally to talk about threats on his life. The next evening after the speech King went on his balcony in Lorraine Hotel and he was assassinated.
The First Step to Make a Difference.
DIscrimination in the U.S was a very big problem for African Americans. African Americans were forced to ride in the back of buses, and they were only hired to do the most low paying jobs. For example, most blacks in businesses were employed as janitors. Civil Rights leaders staged an proactive boycott of the Montgomery bus system in 1955, sparked by Rosa Parks refusing to give up her seat to a white male. The bus system, damaged by this boycott (and influenced partly by a Supreme Court ruling holding such segregation unconstitutional) allowed equal rights on the busses.

In 1967 he began to speak out consistently against the war. In speeches and rallies around the country, he called for a negotiated settlement. King was recruited by anti war activists to head an independent ticket for the presidential election of 1968, a position he declined in order to keep his social and moral concerns free from political obligations.

Parks continued to support the nonviolent civil rights movement and condemned the race riots that rocked dozens of American cities after King was assassinated in April 1968.

He went on the plane's intercom and warned everyone aboard: "Brace for impact!"Sully And Skiles plane went over the George Washington Bridge and brought it down in the middle of the Hudson, where it kicked up a huge amount of water as the plane came to a stop.. All were safely taken off the plane, with Sully the last to leave.

Also during the battle of Fort Wilderness George served in the Virginia militia with Edward Braddock as their leader. George went all over the battlefield telling Braddock's orders to other officers not in his range.

He pushed up on a back road where he pushed back a smaller British army but had to fall back before Cornwallis and his troops came along to fight. The battle of Princeton was morale boost for the Continental Army and other people. That lead to lots more recruits in the following spring.

One was taking many ounces of blood from his body. The doctors took over 80 ounces of blood. He just got worse until he finally died.

George was smart because he taught himself how to use the surveying equipment he would use for his job. He had no military background but was able to become a commander and chief and lead many battles.

George was brave when he crossed the Delaware River in a small boat during the freezing cold weather and he did it on christmas night. George was brave because he is a commander and it is a hard job to decide what to do when you are leading many people, for example when he lead the battle of bunker hill he set up troops on a hill and shot down on the British. he lost the battle because the British keep on on sending troops up there so the Militia ran out of ammo.

J.J. Watt was born in 1989 on March 22nd in Waukesha, Wisconsin. JJ watt as a child played hockey until his parents decided it was too expensive so he switched to football. He worked hard, spending mornings before class lifting weights in the High School gym. By his senior year he became a standout tight end and defensive tight end at Pewaukee High School. JJ went to college at University of Wisconsin Madison. During College he delivered pizza for Pizza Hut. During one of his delivers a 10 year old at the door recognized him and asked him why he wasn't playing football anymore. JJ described it as a powerful day in his life and was a humble moment for him to get to the top as a football player.
Watt’s Kindness JJ Watt showed kindness because he started a fundraiser for Hurricane Harvey Relief. His initial goal was to raise 200,000 for Hurricane Harvey Relief. JJ Watt made a video about Hurricane Harvey relief. More than 200,000 donors came together to raise more than 37 million for JJ’s fundraiser. A boy named Noah Fulmer was hit by a car while wearing his J.J. Watt jersey. The EMTS had to cut Noah’s Jersey off. J.J. Watt visited Noah in the hospital and brought him 3 new jersey’s and signed one of them.
The Bravery of J.J. Watt J.J. watt showed bravery because he had the scariest injuries of his life in 2015. He had one broken hand, one staph infection, two torn abs, three torn adductor muscles and one herniated disc. The surgeries started to happen in January. He says he pushed himself to get back in time for the season and that his body didn’t appreciate the move, which resulted in another surgery in September. There was a time he genuinely wondered if he was done. As soon as he recovered he went back to playing football and said he was just getting started.
JJ watt's back surgery failed 2 years ago indIcating that his disc problem had resurfaced. Watt’s fusion had the full weight of his upper body, and more flexion and extension demands on him than any NFL player ever. A year after back surgery Watt felt like himself again. On Oct 8 Watt suffered a tibial plateau fracture in his left leg against the Kansas City Chiefs. JJ Watt is recovering well and is planning on coming back in the 2018-2019 season.
Watt’s Dedication J.J. watt demonstrated loyalty when he visited his fourth grade teacher Ms Keefe. Ms Keefe had a very big influence in JJ’s life. She told him that he could be anything he wanted to be in life, including being in the nfl. On the day that Ms Keefe retired as a teacher after 41 years, J.J. surprised her with a retirement cake. J.J. wanted to show Ms keefe how much she meant to him. The cake was made in the shape of a math book and a reading book. The caked contained edible pencils on it.
