WELCOME TO THE YACHT PANTRY’S FIRST EDITION OF
CHEFS’ LITTLE BLACK BOOK. We’ve been your eyes, ears and noses on the ground provisioning in Croatia and we have a few exciting new developments to show and tell. In the off season we worked tirelessly to expand on our product list, and have updated our pantry with some new & exciting additions. Not to mention some top quality exclusives... but more on that later. Speaking of additions you may have noticed an extra word on our logo, ‘Montenegro’ and yes that’s correct we are now servicing this exciting new region. We’re calling it Montenegro Select; its a specialised range of fine food products which compliments our Croatia provisioning service beautifully. Meaning a bigger range of items for both regions... bottom line it’s win win! So relax, flick through your little black book, check out our offerings old and new. Oh, also we put the spotlight on these two regions and added our personal hot spots to hit (if you have some time off the boat)!

CROATIA PROVISIONING OUR PASSION IS FOOD We love to personally select the freshest and highest quality products that this wonderful coastline can offer. But we know that’s just half the job. Delivery, service and local knowledge make the Yacht Pantry the only option for provisioning in Croatia. Based in Makarska situated 60 kilometres south of Split we service the larger ports between Zadar and Dubrovnik/Cavtat, plus we can deliver to any of the smaller ports in between.

With Charly’s extensive chef experience on yachts, and my family ties in Croatia we packed our bags and turned an opportunity into a reality. We now call Croatia home and have a fleet of vehicles delivering the freshest and highest quality products available. MONTENEGRO SELECT A SPECIALISED RANGE OF FINE FOOD PRODUCTS The first time Charly and I visited we were totally enchanted with Montenegro’s beauty. The jaw dropping landscape with its proximity to the water really struck a chord. So our motivation to expand the Yacht Pantry into Montenegro wasn’t purely based on business reasons, but a genuine excitement to be a part of this wonderful new place! Due to our high customer demand from our previous seasons and recognising Montenegro’s huge potential It was just a matter of getting our ducks in a row and three years in the making we are proud to introduce Montenegro Select. It’s a new concept for us where in Croatia it’s all about provisioning, in Montenegro its all about the range of fine food products imported by us from all over the world. So when you want some fine cuts of Angus beef, some artisinal crackers or simply a can of baked beans there’s only one place to call on... Yacht Pantry Montenegro Select.

FINDING IT’S FEET, JUST. A stones throw from Italy, Greece and Croatia, Montenegro has long been known for its breathtaking beauty. The mystical bay of Kotor is sometimes called Europes southern most fiord and is a UNESCO listed world natural and historical site. The nightlife of Budva with its restaurants, bars and nightclubs, and Porto Montenegro in Tivat with its stunning vernacular architecture has Europe and the world talking. Montenegro is now touted as the gateway to the Adriatic Europes new yachting playground. The tax free opportunities and yacht friendly customs procedures also are a bonus! For all its amazing natural beauty Monetengro has had its fair share of conflict. From Roman times to the 90’s it has been occupied or at war with most of Europe. In 1996, the government severed ties between Montenegro and the Serbian regime, and in 2006 the Montenegrin Parliament declared the independence of Montenegro.
So now as Montenegro is finding its feet and establishing itself on the world stage, demand for quality food products has increased dramatically. A visit to the local supermarket can be a bit of a disappointment with the lack of many items you can easily find in the Western Med. But don’t stress that’s why we’re here! The Yacht Pantry Montenegro is based in Tivat with easy access to marinas Porto Montenegro, Kotor and Budva. Porto Montenegro is home to some of the Mediterranean’s finest yachts and superyachts, and is a world-class marina offering waterfront and promenade residences in the heart of the Adriatic.

HEAD’S UP. The operation will be headed by Shea Parnell a Kiwi expatriate based in Monaco for the past 6 years. He comes to us with an extensive background in events management and the yachting industry. Shea will be in charge of following our tradition of providing clients with great service and fantastic products such as Irish black Angus beef, French poultry, artisan crackers and biscuits, English and Asian products to name a few.
