MRV’S GROUP SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

We follow a management model that encompasses the three basic aspects of Sustainability: 

1. OBJETIVES The “MRV’s Group Sustainability Policy”, approved on May 17, 2015, and amended on April 18, 2016, by the Board of Directors, confirms our commitment to sustainable development and the need to perform our activities in a balanced and responsible manner in the several cities where we operate. It also establishes principles and guidelines to be applied to MRV’s Group activities throughout the country in order to promote an appropriate and efficient management in relation to greenhouse gas emissions, particularly regarding climate changes.

2. SCOPE

The present policy encompasses all MRV companies, employees, partners, suppliers and other relationship groups (shareholders, investors, clients, real estate agencies, accredited brokers, public authorities, representatives from regulatory agencies, autarchies, notary offices, representatives from private entities, etc.).

The guidelines must be observed and complied by all companies of MRV Group, serving as a permanent reference source for implementing and/or developing strategies. Actions that can promote mitigation and/or adaptation related to the effects of climate change or impact on the company's greenhouse gas emissions should also be applied to their daily activities. Committing to this Policy is fundamental to ensure MRV’s Group Sustainability.

No employee, partner or supplier many claim, in any circumstance, to be unaware of “MRV Sustainability Policy”.

GUIDELINES

“MRV’s Groups Sustainability Policy” establishes that all employees, partners and suppliers shall:

3.1

Promote, implement and disseminate sustainable development actions;

3.2

Respect diversity, fighting against discrimination, moral and sexual harassment, and corruption in all its forms;

3.3

Ensure appropriate work conditions and employees’ wellbeing;

3.4

Respect our clients;

3.5

Seek for new construction technologies, use economically feasible raw materials, and enhance engineering processes to minimize impacts on the environment;

3.6

Use sustainability criteria in the selection and management of suppliers and partners whenever possible, but not limited to the analysis of greenhouse gas emissions;

3.7

Use water and energy in a conscious manner, controlling and managing waste, and adopting measures to replace obsolete equipment in order to use resources;

3.8

Reduce, reuse and recycle waste, whenever possible;

3.9

Discolse the sustanabilty pratices and indicators;

3.10

Support national and international initiatives related to the climate change issue, seeking the application of efficient mechanisms to fight against climate change and the alignment of opinions. Examples of such initiatives are the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program, Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and Carbon Efficient Index - ICO2.

3.11

Seek to participate of voluntary initiatives to empower a specific team that will search to implement measures for the company's self-regulation regarding possible regulatory regimes that may arise in the future in relation to the climate change issue.

3.12

Develop procedures, promote training/empowerment and awareness of employees, partners and suppliers of actions relates to climate change;

3.13

Effectively contribute for the fight against negative effects caused by climate change, identifying, quantifying, reducing and offsetting its greenhouse gas emissions wherever possible;

3.14

Carry out the survey of the company's operations that emit greenhouse gases in their activities, quantifying these emissions and annually disclosing them in the Company's Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory and at MRV Sustainable Website (http: // www.mrvsustentavel.com.br);

3.15

Establish, implement and monitor projects of reduction of the emission of the company's greenhouse gas recorded in Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory, ensuring that MRV’s GHG emissions management process is implemented in its entirety, and thus can enhance their results;

3.16

Annually establish sustainability goals for the Company's Management;

3.17

Promote and encourage technological innovation, investment in Research & Development (R & D) and the development of new projects and products in order to be designed in a sustainable manner, also contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, mitigating their effects in the atmosphere;

3.18

Emphasize the importance of “MRV’s Code of Conduct” and its application in MRV’s key decisions.
