Speakers Karen Gonzalez Karen is the Professional Development Programme Coordinator and Team Lead for People & Culture. She was born in Guatemala and didn’t start learning English until she was 10 years old. Her first words in English? “Ice cream, please!”
John Huddle John is the Senior Representative for Team World Vision in California. He is married to his soul mate, Amanda, and has three wonderful kids: Sydney (5), Elijah (2) and Lucy (three months). Every year John runs the ASICS LA Marathon and eats a chili dog at Mile Four. Before working with World Vision, John taught literature and creative writing at the university level. Christie McGuire Christie is currently serving as a Sourcing Specialist within the Staffing & Diversity team in the People & Culture department. She and her husband Danny live in
Pasadena, enjoy outdoor activities, show tunes and are expecting their first child. Raised in the mountainous high desert of Bend, Oregon, Christie reflects on childhood as a simpler time of soccer shorts, rock forts and bike rides. Ebenezer Puplampu Ebenezer, currently the People and Culture Advisor/ Manager of the Global Centre People & Culture Solutions Centre, joined World Vision 13 years ago in Ghana. Ebe credits World Vision with contributing a great deal to his elementary education, as he was taught in classrooms built by World Vision. He is married to the love of his life, Giphtie, and together they have two children, Yves and Yvette.

Breakout Sessions Breakout sessions are designed to help staff reflect on their own experiences as children, embody the life of a child in the field and collectively pray for children around the world. The sessions will provide safe space for quiet reflection, liturgical prayer and conversational prayer. Please refer to your name tag for the order in which you will visit these rooms, as you may not go through them in chronological order. Sessions will last 20 minutes each.
Infancy A space for reflection and silent, contemplative prayer. To reflect on babies experience in the womb, to being welcomed into the world.
Room C2
School Years Reflecting on children ranging from 5-12. Prompts will lead participants through liturgical prayer and the prayer of examen. Staff are encouraged to participate and silently reflect using construction paper, crayons and other elementary aged items.
Chapel
Adolescence Small group discussion and conversational prayer discussing topics relating to adolescent aged children throughout the world. Prayers and reflections around child brides, child soldiers and other justice topics relevant to adolescent children throughout the world.
Zone 45
Child Friendly Space Experience a safe space designed for children in emergency and often times very scary and unstable contexts. 5

Emmanuel! “Let the children come” Annual Partnership Bible Study Join staff from around the Partnership in going through the Bible Study daily during the 40 Days Reflection journey from October 1 to November 9. Download it from the Christian Commitments website on wvcentral, found under the Our Work dropdown menu in the Development section. 2. WV Prayer App Download the WV Prayer App on your Apple devices to receive up to date prayer alerts as emergencies occur and get access to prayer requests for the countries World Vision is working in. 3. WV Pray Twitter Feed Follow @WVpray to receive daily prayer requests on how you can partner with World Vision to pray for the well-being of children in the world. 4. Monthly Prayer Guide Download the monthly prayer guide from the Christian Commitments website to pray for our offices and colleagues around the Partnership.
