MUSTANG MARKS Senior outside hitter Krista Zenk, who’s produced double-digit kills in 10 of 14 matches this season, was atop the Great Plains Athletic Conference in kills per set (3.9) going into the week. Junior defensive specialist/libero Kayla Harris is also first in digs per set (5.8) due to compiling double figures in six straight appearances. Junior setter Sabrina Creason is fourth-best in assists per set (10.8), as she’s accumulated 20-or-more in 18 successive appearances dating back to the end of 2019. The trio also had special status on the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics numbers through 15 matches. Creason’s 594 assists are second-highest, trailing only Madeline Else of Dakota Wesleyan University, who has 759, and her assists per set totals are seventh-best. Harris’ 316 digs are fourth-best and part of a career-digits personal milestone trend, with her only 90 shy of the 1500-mark. Zenk’s 212 kills, which mark a fourth successive season of 200-or-more in her collegiate campaign, stand ninthmost. Morningside hits the road next week for matches at Northwestern College Tuesday, Nov. 3, and Hastings College Saturday, Nov. 7. Coach Squier’s team returns home for the final time in the regular season Tuesday, Nov. 10, against Peru State College.
