Head Coach: Jessica Squier (4th season)
Jessica Squier took the reins as Morningside head coach ahead of the 2020 season, bringing 15 years of coaching experience to Morningside’s program, of which more than a decade has been at the collegiate level.
Coach Squier’s coaching philosophy empowers young women to achieve their goals academically and athletically. By facilitating guidance and support, she hopes and expects to see her student-athletes be successful after Morningside in their future endeavors.
Squier didn’t set out to be a college coach, changing her major five times while in college trying to find the right fit. She knew she wanted to be involved in helping young men and women navigate life and provide opportunities of growth through school and athletics.
Squier holds a master’s degree in School Counseling from Lamar University.

Head Coach: Kyle Van Den Bosch (19th season)
Hired as Northwestern’s ninth head coach in the spring of 2005, Kyle Van Den Bosch is in his 19th year as the head coach of the Northwestern College volleyball team (heading into 2023). Van Den Bosch boasts an impressive 494-144 overall record, wining nearly 80% of his matches while at NWC and is a seven-time Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Coach of the Year. In 2021, he surpassed his predecessor Mike Meyer for the most wins in NWC volleyball program history.
Van Den Bosch has led the Red Raiders to seven GPAC titles (regular season and tournament combined), has led the program to be ranked in the final NAIA poll of the season in 14 of his 18 seasons, including nine top-10 rankings with the hightest end-of-season rank being No. 3 (2009). He has led the program to 13 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) national tournament appearances, including six-straight and hosting three-straight Opening Round matches, and has led the program to three of their seven NAIA Quarterfinal round appearances.
