Larry Wyatt lead the design team that created the third LEGO theme park, which opened in Carlsbad, California, in the summer of 1998. A new architectural vocabulary was developed that would both represent LEGO prominently, as well as create an environment that re ects the aesthetics and overall quality of the brand. When LEGO Park Design began planning their rst international theme park, Larry Wyatt and his design team joined a team of designers from Denmark and the UK to create a new LEGO theme park for Windsor, UK. The design team’s responsibilities included master planning of the attraction areas, designing visitor facilities and themed structures, design of interactive play areas, attractions, and shows. Legoland Theme Parks in Carlsbad and Windsor, UK, both designed and planned by MSI principal Larry Wyatt, were recognized in 2003 by the Themed Entertainment Association for Outstanding Achievement in Theme Park Design.
