One of the world’s premier music conservatories, Manhattan School of Music is dedicated to the personal, artistic, and intellectual development of aspiring musicians, from precollege through postgraduate studies. We prepare students for careers as accomplished and passionate performers, composers, teachers, and as leaders in the arts and society.
Founded in 1918, today MSM is recognized for its more than 1,000 highly talented undergraduate and graduate students who come from over 50 countries and nearly every U.S. state, a world-renowned artist-teacher faculty, and innovative curricula. Our alumni are soloists on the stages of the great concert halls and opera houses of the world, play in major orchestras internationally, lead important music organizations, and are faculty members training the next generation of artists.
