“Rich gifts wax poor when givers prove unkind” -HAMLET
Love someone for the way they treat you, money can’t buy happiness.

As you like it
‘I pray that you do not fall in love with me, for I am falser than vows made in wine.’ Shakespeares’ insight into the effects of alcohol is still so relevant today. Never trust your instincts after a double vodka lemonade, or equally a glass (or bottle) of wine. We all do, and say things we normally wouldn’t, but thats just all part of the fun. I’ve rounded up some regrettable drunk stories. We’ve all been there. ‘I knocked myself out in a doorway, fell on the floor and passed out. After being taken to the medical room I woke up, told the medic I was allergic to smoked salmon and poached eggs and forced him to kiss my knee better. This was at my uni club.’ ‘I was so drunk I thought that a fitted wardrobe was the bathroom, took a squat and weed in the wardrobe’
‘My housemate in second year brought his mate round for a few nights out, we ended up sleeping together (a few times.) I found out somewhere down the line that I had chlamydia and had to tell him. Sadly for me he’s living with us in third year and now he’s my housemate. Turns out it wasn’t even him who gave it to me.’ ‘I got so drunk I passed out in a graveyard next to a tombstone.’ ‘I went on a night out and was waiting by myself for an Uber home. Before I knew it, after a brief conversation with a stranger, I was in a taxi with 5 guys I didn’t know, had agreed to see Incredibles 2
with one of them, and woke up the next morning to a very unwelcome guest keen for a cinema trip.’

‘The devil can cite scripture for his purpose’ Donald Trump is a prime example of a man in power who manipulates things for his own gain. One incredibly relevant and recent example of this, is the removal of Jim Acosta, a journalist in the White House for CNN after accusations of ‘inappropriately’ touching an intern folllowing his refusal to give his microphone back. The footage of this moment seen by the American public was doctored to give the impression that Acosta ‘karate chopped’ her arm. The video is slowed down and then sped up to make the actions look more violent. This is just one of the many incidents of twisted news coming from Donald Trump and the White House. He uses the media to manipulate situations to work in his favour, with no regard for truth. Trumps ability to use the media to
twist real events started at his inauguration when he posted a tweet stating his inauguration had bigger crowds than Obama, when in fact the photo had been edited after intervention to create the overall impression of a hive of life. Trumps and American press companies such as Fox News work closely to spread a total distortion of the truth leaving the American people with no sense of reality. Shakespeare was accurate in his statement that the Devil can cite any scripture for his purpose. Donald Trump, we know your game, it’s a shame your supporters are stupid.

In Shakespeares play ‘Macbeth’, the three witches represent chaos, darkness and conflict. Basically don’t trust power thirtsy w(b)itches.

Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and caldron bubble. Fillet of a fenny snake, In the caldron boil and bake; Eye of newt and toe of frog, Wool of bat and tongue of dog, Adder’s fork and blind-worm’s sting, Lizard’s leg and howlet’s wing, For a charm of powerful trouble, Like a hell-broth boil and bubble. Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and caldron bubble. Cool it with a baboon’s blood, Then the charm is firm and good 11
