Professional Educator Certificate Class A Secondary State of Alabama Department of Education

Summary I am interested in becoming a member of your faculty or team. With my ability to collaborate, my passion for teaching, my gift in the area of classroom management, organization and my outstanding work ethic, I will be an asset to your school, business, medical or legal practice or company. I am able to manage my classroom or office with a unique style of positive reinforcement & create the conditions for a working productive environment. My attention to detail enables me to be an in-house auditor of my work and make changes to meet the needs of all students or clients. My reflection on my own work prevents costly mistakes by regularly reconciling my delivery methods with the amount of learning taking place and correcting discrepancies in that model. I am able to meet deadlines by motivating my students and co-workers to work as hard as I do. Realizing that educating students is perhaps one of the most important responsibilities an employee can have, I bring with me the integrity and outstanding character that former co-workers and administrators have always appreciated in me. While I am a leader, I am respectful to authority and a life-long learner eager to acquire new skills and add to my working knowledge.

Relevant Experience Dixie Academy Teacher/ Website Developer/ Media Design Teacher June 2001 - May 2011 (10 years) Teaching, planning and inspiring students to engage in learning Government, American History, World History, Geography, Reading, Life Science, Earth Science, and an interactive Media Design class. While technology was integrated into each of my courses, Media & Web Design challenged each student to openly blog about situations in the school For example, one student followed the fifth grade class and what they were doing each week. The students used a variety of skills to build an interesting site. Photographs became digital inteviews edited into a movie shared and sold to parents as a keepsake. One student chose sports with regard to the school. Another student chose school improvement, challenging students to pick up trash and have a locker cleaning day. These students used technology, had a large following and school particpation, all inspired from within the student body. It replaced the expense of a printed school newspaper and allowed readers to give feedback and ideas.

REFERENCES I take great pleasure in recommending Mrs. Ronna Williams. Mrs. Williams has taught at our school for several years. During this time, her record has been impeccable, her knowledge and expertise unquestioned, and her capabilities as a teacher and a leader of youth have been an inspiration to us all. She is respected and literally loved by her students. Mrs. Williams faced some very serious issues growing up but she overcame all of this and is now using it to relate to her students. Her faith and confidence is an inspiration to the entire school. Sincerely, James E. Partin, Headmaster, Dixie Academy jamespartin@mac.com 334-266-5095 Ronna Williams is, in my opinion, a model teacher! During the years that we have taught together at Dixie Academy, I have learned so much from her: teaching methods, computer skills, ways to deal with students. It was Ronna who taught me to create PowerPoint and later, Keynote presentations to use in my classes. This has revolutionized my way of teaching! Ronna is known for innovative teaching methods that keep students interested and help them learn. She injects related video clips, music and art into her presentations. According to the students, her classes are definitely not boring. Ronna is also known for her interest in the individual student, making sure that each one understands the material. Ronna and I have done some collaborative work teaching History and French, and this was very successful. She has also done a workshop for my seniors on getting ready for college and applying for scholarships. In conclusion, Ronna Williams is an awesome teacher who will be a great asset to any school that is fortunate enough to hire her. AISA Course Share Network Aisa.crhosts.com John Westbrook, CSN Coordinator Jwestbrook57@msn.com A Letter of Recommendation for Ronna Williams: Ronna joined the online instruction faculty on the internet. She had missed the initial training sessions and the collaboration that the other online faculty members had been privileged to. However; Ronna used her astute computer skills to gain a full understanding of the software and the variations available to present courses online. Eventually, she was advising others on the techniques she had developed to enhance the content as well as the appearance of ‘her’ CSN courses. Without a doubt some of the best courses on the CSN site are the history classes Ronna has prepared. Ronna was asked to share her knowledge of the various sites and applications of content with her colleagues at the professional development day for the AISA teachers and staff. Her presentation was outstanding and generated interest from all the attendees. In her usual spirit of cooperation she offered to place all her information online to share with those that were interested. Ronna Williams not only is able to offer a course online that has sound content with a motivational presentation; she also is a caring teacher. Ronna’s contributions to the AISA CSN program have been’ above the call of duty.’

I wrote about you. :) Thanks for being such a huge inspiration to me. In case my mom hasn't told you, I'm going to school to be a teacher. I'm so blessed to have had you, along with many of the other teachers at Dixie, to show me the way. Thanks for everything you have done for me and for every single student who has even had the privilege of calling you their teacher. I love you! You really are "The Best Teacher I Ever Had"!
