Non-Resident Military Tuition Waiver
100% of the non-resident portion of tuition is waived for veterans, active duty service members, and their dependents.
Students who qualify for and are approved for the Non-Resident Military Tuition Waiver (NRMTW) will receive a scholarship waiver for the non-resident portion of their tuition (currently valued at $17,435) in place of the Non-Resident Scholarship, if the Non-Resident Scholarship is less than the value of the NRMTW.

Calculate scholarships you qualify for.
The priority date for completing the General Scholarship Application (GSA) for maximum consideration of competitive scholarships for transfer students, including private and departmental, is March 1, 2025 for the 2025-2026 academic year. Dates vary for performance scholarships. Some of these scholarships require 48 transferable community college hours applicable to a bachelor’s degree at MSU. Find details online. Once admitted to MSU, submit the GSA and check your myState account often for updates.

BACHELOR OF APPLIED SCIENCE DEGREES
MSU’s Bachelor of Applied Science degree program allows you to apply your technical education credits earned from an accredited community college or the military to a bachelor’s degree. If you are in the process of finishing your Associate of Applied Science degree, the BAS program may be the perfect next step! Transfer up to 60 hours of earned credits, 45 of which may be technical.
