A Letter from the Macademics Team Dear students, On behalf of the MSU Macademics team, we’d like to introduce you to your one-stop hub for academic and wellness resources on campus. This project has been two years in the making, since the creation of Macademics as a service in 2016. After thoroughly collecting information about academic services on campus, we have been able to compile many diverse resource in on place—no stressful site surfing necessary! Course Wiki
The McMaster Used Textbook Sales Facebook page is a community of nearly 30,000 McMaster students selling and buying textbooks at affordable prices.
The Course Wiki provides up-to-date feedback and inside information on all undergraduate courses. This service is run by students, for students and includes details about professors, testing style, and tips on how to succeed.

Science SCCE
Tutoring
The SCCE provides guidance and information on career paths, experiential learning, and cooperative education (COOP). Their services include resume critiques, information about potential employers, and job opportunities through OSCARplus. Dropin hours are in BSB 127 on Monday to Wednesday from 1-3 pm, Thursday 9:30-11:30 am, or Friday 10 am-12 pm.
The Tutoring Service is an affordable learning resource built by students, for students. Run through the McMaster Science Society, the service is structured to be 1) accessible, through an online database and feedback systems. 2) affordable, through subsidization with MSS Tutor Tokens, and 3) specialized, featuring a strong team of trained tutors with a competitive application process.

McMaster Science Mentorship Program
This office offers Academic Advising for students within the Faculty of Science or taking science courses. Drop-in advising is available on Monday to Friday (9-11:30 am, and 1-3:30 pm in BSB 129. science.mcmaster.ca/associatedean/contact-us.html

Social Sciences Mentorship Families Program By joining a Social Sciences Mentorship Family, you’ll be matched by program with first, second, third, and fourth year students. Mentorship families should primarily be used as academic support systems, however, first years are encouraged to seek out social and extra-curricular support from their mentors.

Test Bank
Academic Documents
The MES Test Bank is an opt-in database for professors to provide their old testing material. This will allow students to have an extra resource to study and practice for their tests, midterms and exams.

The goal of this year-long program is to introduce the first years (Baby Blues) to a MacKin Welcome Week Representative (BIG Blues) who can help answer any questions, give advice, and to overall be a new friend!
