Since 1999, Blue Bricks has been a community favorite and is the perfect destination to grab a bite to eat, watch a game, grab some drinks, play some pool or all of the above! Ironically, the whole building is made of brick with a few blue bricks spread throughout the establishment. Decked out in sports jerseys and famous pictures and posters, they offer an environment for just about everyone. One of the many perks has to be the large lounge area because of

Are you looking for a quick bite to eat on your lunch break? Are there nights when you are in a rush and you don’t have time to cook? If so, look no further than Pizza Ranch of Mankato. Pizza Ranch has a lot to offer their customers, such as delivery or carryout, online ordering, catering and gluten-sensitive options. This is a welcome relief for those who may be allergic to gluten, but they still like to eat pizza from time to time. On the restaurant’s website, they even offer a nutrition calculator, so you can watch how many calories you are consuming. They are located at 1551 Tullamore St. in Mankato. Their hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

For those who want to stop in on their lunch break, their lunch hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The price for the buffet during these days of the week is fairly reasonable, as the buffet price is $9.09. While others may be unable to stop in during lunchtime, they are always open during the evenings and weekends. Their hours are 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Their buffet price during the weekend and evening is $10.59. I have never been to the Pizza Ranch in Mankato, but I have been to a Pizza Ranch before and I have always liked their variety of pizzas. Plus, if you want something made for you, you can ask one of the kitchen staff and they can make one for you. I have always gotten the chicken bacon ranch pizza and you can never

go wrong with that. The restaurant also has an arcade for the kids to play in, plus kids can eat free on Tuesday. However, they must be 10 years of age and under, in order for this to qualify. During your visit, you will find an endless “Buffet Your Way” and broasted chicken that

Once again, The Coffee Hag wins Best Coffee Shop of Mankato for their quirky and accepting atmosphere and fun-loving employees. Known for their support of local artists and businesses, The Coffee Hag is popular among college students, young adults, and those who appreciate art. Upon entering, the first thing one notices is their eccentric art. One wall displays a local artist’s work for sale. Another has vintage mirrors, colorful canvases, and other trinkets. Their bulletin board, walls and doors are full of posters advertising different events, plays, and activities in the Mankato area, making it a wonderful place to find information on upcoming events. The front counter has many different baked goods, pastas, salads, and

a local chef’s creations. The menu is spunky with creative names for their drinks. One of their most popular drinks for coffeelovers is the Yin-Yang, which combines both white and dark chocolate for a sweet taste to contrast the bitter coffee. Other popular drinks include The Bee’s Knees, named after the addition of honey into the beverage, and their White Mocha. Those that are not coffee-drinkers are in luck. Their hot chocolate is sweet without being overpowering, and they also have an assortment of other coffee-less beverages. Their monster cookies, berry streusel, and cherry chocolate chip muffins are perfect for those with a sweet tooth, while their salads and pastas are savory for those looking for a little something more to munch on. Their drinks are typically $4-5 and their pastries are not too pricey, either.

According to the citizens of Mankato via an online poll, Applebees has been chosen as having the best happy hour in town. Applebees happy hour runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. every day of the week. The drink specials during this time consist of 50 percent off drinks as well $3.25 domestic tap beer, $3.50 wine and $4 long islands and margaritas. Google reviews give this pizzeria 4.6 stars, Facebook gives it 4.7/5 stars, and Foursquare gives it 8.6/10. This means that this pizzeria is best pizza restaurants to eat in Mankato, Minnesota! This pizzeria has been opened since 1969 and can be found at 524 S Front St, Mankato, Minnesota. As a matter of fact, what makes this place greater is the price of their food. You might think that the cost of the food is a foolish statement. However, Puglisi’s Pizza motto is Quality & Quantity this mean that they care about their customer’s satisfaction. They want to make sure that every customer is satisfied with

the food they are getting at Pagliai’s Pizza. Anyway, their price of food range would be from $8.20-$20.00 and beverages would be from $1.50-$12.00! I know that seems a lot, but once you look at the menu you will understand the food range. Speaking of the menu did you know that Pagliai’s

pizza offers about 43 foods on their menu! That is crazy and great because you can pick and choose whatever food you like or curious to eat. My favorite food from their menu is “Maverick” its toppings are sausage, beef, Canadian bacon, and pepperoni. I am a meat lover, so no vegetables on my meat pizza especially

pineapple. So, the taste of the food was excellent, and everything was fully cooked. I didn’t grab a beverage since I had soda back in my room. But, the food was delicious and spicy as well. In my opinion, I would order the “Maverick” at Pagliai’s Pizza, but everyone has a choice of whatever foods

they love to eat. Anyway, what do people say about this place? On Google reviews maps a lot of people say that place is great, food is tasty, a wonderful place

Located at 1525 Tullamore St., Mazatlan offers a variety of drink specials and amazing food to have you coming back again and again. A video online takes you through El Mazatlan story, but at the bottom of their website it explains, “El Mazatlan Restaurant opened in 2003 with a vision of bringing authentic Mexican food to Mankato, Minnesota. Tradition is a difficult past time to argue against when it comes to Pagliai’s pizza. The restaurant has been around since 1969, proving the family’s recipe can withstand the test of time. In fact, Pagliai’s Pizza is the oldest pizzeria in Mankato, as well as one of the city’s oldest buildings. This pizza joint has been around so long they can create any combination of pizza almost imaginable, from a pizza with the works to a maverick to a garden. Pagliai’s even has sandwiches and other items, like salads and pasta, for those who are not up to eating a Pagliai’s pizza. Pagliai’s takes pride in their restaurant and chop

only the freshest meat and vegetables daily to ensure the best tasting pizza. It’s hard to believe no one would want their pizza though, as some people love it so much, Stacey said this on their website. “We actually drive from the Twin Cities back to Mankato to eat at Pagliai’s. At our latest trip we discussed why we liked the pizza and determined it was the sauce, the crust, and even the ingredients! It is all delicious! The pepperoni pizza is definitely a classic but the specialty pizzas are also good. I recently tried the new southwest bbq chicken pizza and loved that one too! We usually end up ordering more than one and sharing since it is so hard to decide. They offer a small selection of beers and also have hoagies - but

The MRCI Thrift Store has won “Best Thrift Store,” for its mission to help those in our community that are disabled or disadvantaged. They provide cheap goods to those who shop at the store and allow those who donate to help the community. MRCI stands for Mankato Rehabilitation Center Inc. The Store’s website boasts of helping the community for over five decades. Their website states, “The MRCI Thrift Shop began with a 1963 rummage sale that just kept going and growing. With more than 30 volunteers, the first shop was opened June 15, 1964, in downtown Mankato. Today, more than 110 men and women regularly volunteer their time sorting, pricing, and selling items.” The shop provides a wide array of goods to

the public. Its vast array of goods makes it stand out as there is something for everyone in this store. From hats and jewelry to movies, books, and furniture, this store has it all. They have aisles full of trinkets, knick-knacks, serving trays, plates, and so much more. One thing that makes this store perfect is its location. Located at 111 Sioux Road Mankato, MN 56001, it is only a few miles from Minnesota State University, Mankato. College students can come here to pick up cheap clothes, pots and pans, and other essentials to start off their lives in their new home away from home. Members of the community from all walks of life have come to this store to donate, shop, and volunteer. The children’s section is never empty, and typically has about two or three kids looking through the toys and stuffed animals while their parents shop
