FOR IM M EDIATE R ELEASE M.S. Walker Introduces Limited Release Grand MacNish Double Matured Cask Series BOSTON, MA – October 30, 2018 – M.S. Walker, a New England-based national importer and distributor of fine wines and spirits, has launched two new expressions of Grand MacNish Scotch Whisky in the U.S. Market. The Limited Release Double Matured Series features a 13Year Rum Cask Finished Blended Scotch and a 15-Year Sherry Cask Finished Blended Scotch.

First created by Glasgow merchant Robert McNish in 1863, the proud blending tradition of Grand MacNish continues with this unique batch numbered, limited edition range of double matured blended Scotch whisky. The Grand MacNish Double Matured series is distilled, matured, blended, finished and bottled in Scotland at 43% ABV (86 Proof). This whisky has first matured in American oak bourbon barrels before being finished in Sherry or Rum barrels for 1 year.

The Grand MacNish 13-Year Rum Cask Finish Blended Scotch delivers a fine balance between oak and ripe fruits, with a spicy, lingering finish, while the 15-Year Sherry Cask Finished Scotch combines sherry and vanilla notes on the nose and palate with a warming finish. These fine whiskies were finished by Master Blender Scott Sneddon at the New Inchdarnie Distillery which is at the forefront of innovation within the industry.

Grand MacNish’s Double Matured Cask series is currently available, with the 15yr Sherry Cask retailing for $54.99 and the 13yr Rum Cask retailing for $44.99 for a 750ML. This batch-bottled production run is limited to 5,400 bottles, all of which are being sold in the United States.
