CALL FOR PAPERS The Inaugural Bangor Conference of Celtic Studies 21 July — 23 July 2012 Prifysgol Bangor University, North Wales  An international conference welcoming papers in Welsh and English on topics relating to any aspect of Celtic Studies, including (but not limited to) history, archaeology, language, literature, linguistics, music, religion, philosophy, folklore, art history, anthropology, and gender studies. A selection of the conference proceedings will be published. Bangor is a university city located between the Menai Strait and the beautiful mountains of Snowdonia in northwest Wales. It has regular train links to London, Chester, Manchester, and Liverpool in England and can be easily reached from Dublin or Dun Laoghaire in Ireland via the ferry to Holyhead and a short train, bus, or car journey across Anglesey to Bangor. Excursions in North Wales and a banquet dinner are planned for delegates. A limited number of bursaries will also be available for postgraduate students; further details on these will be distributed in due course. Residential accommodation will be available on the main campus of Bangor University, and there are also a range of accommodation options in the Bangor area. Please send proposals for papers of twenty minutes in length including a 250-abstract of the proposed paper and details of any A/V requirements to the conference organisers. We will also consider proposals for sponsored sessions of 2-4 papers. We warmly invite participation from academics, independent scholars, postgraduate/graduate students.
