She relies on her business acumen, knowledge of contracts, negotiation skills and marketing expertise gained in her former career as an appellate attorney. The grand-daughter of a builder, Monica possesses an innate penchant for real estate, architecture and interior design. Intelligent, passionate about her work, conscientious, and relentless in serving her clients’ interests, Monica enjoys the outgoing nature of residential real estate sales. A native of Southern California, Monica lived in Orange County, Los Angeles, Dallas, Detroit, New York City and Toronto before making Houston her home base. While in high school, she studied at the School of American Ballet, the official school of the New York City Ballet, on a merit scholarship. Monica holds a degree in Chinese history and political science from Colorado College where she graduated magna cum laude. After graduation, she was a PICAS Fellow in Mandarin Chinese at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and also interned for the Sundance Film Institute in Los Angeles. She attended Southern Methodist University Law School as a Hutchinson Merit Fellow where she graduated cum laude, Order of the Coif and was an editor of the SMU Law Review. Voluntarism plays an important role in Monica’s life. She is a member of the National Council of Jewish Women, a lifetime member of Hadassah, and serves on the executive board of Beth Yeshurun Sisterhood. Monica and her husband have a teenage daughter and son, and when time permits, she enjoys ballet, opera, Sudoku, jigsaw puzzles, and fashion.
