Originally from El Paso, Stormy has called Houston home for more than 30 years. After graduating from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) with a BFA in marketing and communications, she was National Sales Planning Manager for Fox Sports. She then became Marketing Manager with KPMG in Houston. Stormy was honored with the National KPMG Volunteer Excellence Award.
Stormy is involved in the Houston community and her neighborhood associations plus her children’s schools, sports and Universities. Past volunteer commitments include the Children’s Museum of Houston, Museum of Fine Arts Houston, West University Little League Auxiliary, West University Sports Association Board, Braeswood Place Homeowners Association Home Tour Chair, Mark Twain Elementary School PTO, Pershing Middle School PTO, Lamar High School PTO, Lamar High School Booster Club, Stella Link Campus Park Board and Rice University Football WGAH President. Present commitment includes Mark Twain Elementary SDMC. Stormy has served on The Woman’s Hospital of Texas - Pediatric Community Advisory Board and is a sustaining member of The Junior League of Houston as well volunteers and contributes to several community events in and around Houston.
Stormy is an avid sports fan, enjoys the arts and loves a good festival. Stormy and her husband, Chad, currently live in Braes Heights and have two children in college, Zane and Lilly, and their dog, Mondo.
