Special thanks to Lorretta Lynde
About Lorretta Lorretta Lynde is a fourth-generation Montanan, raised on the Crow Indian Reservation where her Irish great-grandparents arrived as they followed the railroads west. The ranch where she grew up is nestled in a rich valley at the foot of the soaring Big Horn Mountains, summer range for the ranch’s big bands of sheep. Hers is a family of storytellers. Her father was a skilled oral storyteller, and her brother, Stan Lynde, is a well-known Western writer. Before her death in 2007, her mother, Eleanor Lynde, authored her memoir, titled Daylight in the Canyon.

An Rí Rá music
Glengarry Bhoys Described as bold, unorthodox, vibrant, and evocative, the Glengarry Bhoys have an energy and good humor, as much a part of the show as their musicianship, that crosses all cultures and ages. Many things have been written and reported about this world renowned Canadian alt-celt group over the last decade, all depicting their musical and entertaining prowess with varied audiences the world over, and also their ability to marshal large enthusiastic crowds show after show. Their objective is simple yet evocative, as stated by their lead singer Graham Wright in a CBC “Fresh Air” interview: “If our audience can only get 10 percent of the satisfaction we get entertaining them — then we surpass objective.”
Brendan O’Shea
M ORE MUSIC, PAG E 12
Irish native O’Shea has become a veteran of New York City’s songwriter scene and has released two albums which have garnered praise from critics and press around the world. Brendan’s songs can also be heard in such films as Ron Howard’s Academy Award nominated film Backdraft and the wildly successful Karen Gehres documentary “Begging Naked.” With or without a guitar in hand, Brendan O’Shea excels at drawing people in.
Evans & Doherty These two are first-rate musicians, singers, songwriters, promoters and producers. Kevin Evans & Brian Doherty have been an integral part of the East Coast music scene for 20 years. To capture the essence of an Evans & Doherty performance, take a lively blend of traditional, original and contemporary songs, and add a liberal sprinkling of stories and humor. As well as performing on stage, Evans & Doherty are involved with many aspects of the music industry. Brian owns and operates a booking agency and production company, and Kevin owns and operates Modtrad Music, a publishing company.
