PERSPECTIVE OKLAHOMA FARM BUREAU
OFB members welcome to attend hearing for proposed solid waste landfill Members are invited to attend the administrative hearing for the proposed permit for a solid waste landfill in Kay County. The hearing will be held at 9 a.m., September 7, in the first floor multi-purpose room of the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality, 707 N. Robinson, Oklahoma City. The OFB Legal Foundation has been working with Kay County Farm Bureau members and landowners to prevent the landfill, or failing that, to make it safe enough to protect nearby water supplies. The judge will hear from engineers, citizens, and a geologist on behalf of the Foundation. For directions or additional information, contact Marla Peek at 405-523-2437 or Marla.Peek@okfb.org.
