Bristol Cultural Hub Cities do not work as a dendritic tree but rather as a lattice of several influential factors such as history, road network, ethnic nodes, views and many more. When combined together, these aspects create a point of convergence. This concept led me to realize the historical influences on site and a possible route for commuters, which would connect the isolated site to north and south of Bristol. The idea was to create a public funded cultural centre; consisting of an auditorium, gallery, exhibition space and an archive in fragments of the exiting warehouse. Moreover, a station was also created in order to make the site the centre point of the city, invaded by the landscape in south east Bristol to allow horticulture to take place, as well as allowing permitting commuters to flow through the site.

Reconnecting As education was lacking in Neath town of Port Talbot, the youth population was decreasing. In order to manage this problem, the brief was to design a learning centre to educate the youth in order to offer them a prosperous future. My design is based on developing a factory-like learning centre which will have a workshop to design pod-learning units that could be sent out, by all form of transportation. In order to accommodate a factory and a learning centre, I needed everything to be under one roof. I designed a shell-like structure whereby units are twisted at the points where more sun light is required for the factory and yet to be strong enough to hang cranes from it. In order to avoid having a building ‘block’, I designed a landscape that would flow through the site and form into my shell structure.

Floating House My floating house project is based on detail and construction techniques. The idea was to make the house float in the case of flooding as well as designing it in such a way that it could be built with a single menu, with no builders required.

1:1 Scale Kayak
“Without craftsmanship, inspiration is a mere reed shaken in the wind Johannes Brahms
This project was aimed to understand the structure and strength. The objective was to make a lightweight portable boat. After water proofing the boat it was also tested in water. Our main intention was to develop a kayak that could carry one person, however from the design and structure it turned out that the kayak had the ability to carry two people

Proportions
Selected to be displayed at Foundation Art & Design UAL Exhibition 2012
Ideal or perfect proportions is a term we bandy about. We refer to someone as being well-proportioned if we deem them to have a beautiful body. All these terms suggest that some proportions are better than others, and that there might be an ideal proportion, or a series of such perfect proportions. If so, then art and architecture which employs these proportions should be more pleasing than that which did not. “Like God, the Divine Proportion is always similar to itself Fra Luca Pacioli

Villa
Minimal design villa has spacious volumes to provide flexibility on the ground floor for furniture arrangement and circulation. Key areas of dining, pantry and the living room are combined. In order to highlight the key central space, the dining space is lit with double height sky light to create openness; this also accommodates the stairs which is an additional key feature of the villa. The villa was deliberately exposed from north and enclosed from south to control solar gains due to high temperature in Abu Dhabi.

Feathers UAE The interior and exterior of this design is based on Feathers UAE colour scheme and UAE local traditions, providing a luxurious feel to it. The concept was to merge the different departments in order to allow customers to flow through the store easily. The design is based on a grid whereby the sizes of the cubes highlight the significance of the products. The cubes can later be adjusted to the required spacing and layout.
