Spices Spinach Broccoli Green beans Tofu

Boil broccoli and green beans for about 15 min. Chop the tofu into little pieces, fry it with spices. Put everything together, add spinach and fry it for a few minutes. Add more spices if required.

This fruit salad tastes just like Fruit Tingles. It is really quick and simple to prepare, I make it often when I am looking for a nutritious and delicious snack.You can replace the blueberries with apples or some other fruit to change the flavor. Ingredients 2 100 g some 1

Chop up the bananas into small bits. Put the blueberries in the bowl. Sprinkle cinnamon over the dish. Cut a lime in half then squeeze the juice into the bowl to your liking. Enjoy.

Organic Asparagus Bacon Granny Smith Apples

Peel the Apples and slice them. Then peel the Asparagus and remove inedible parts. Put them into a pot with cold water and heat up. Boil them on low fire for about 30 minutes, then throw away the water and let them cool down. Wrap bacon around the asparagus and fry them. Just before it’s ready to eat add the apple slices and fry everything together for a short time. Serve hot and fresh!

I simply slice up a half of a small avocado (I buy the organic avocados at Trader Joe’s--they’re cheap and always good!), then layer it (thinly sliced) on top of a thin slice of good crusty bread. I sprinkle a little kosher salt on top, and it’s good to go. This little snack is so incredibly satisfying--and healthy! Don’t feel bad about the fat in avocados--it’s the kind of fat that does your body good. Enjoy!

I usually do my workouts in my building’s gym, but since I’m in the suburbs, the commute to the gym was a bit longer so I didn’t think going sans-snack was a good idea. After my workout, I had two small organic scrambled eggs with ezekiel bread and cucumbers. Green tea on the side. Ingredients half 1 2 Slices

Cucumber Organic egg Ezekiel bread

Peel and slice the cucumber, arrange nicely on a plate. Toast one or two slices of ezekiel bread, as desired. Put a small amount of oil in a frypan, heat it up and fry the eggs as soon as it gets hot enough. Scramble the eggs and make sure to take them from the stove before they get too dry. Serve everything together.

I love Organic Crunchy Peanut butter, it is so delicious. A great way to eat it is with a banana. I also love to eat apple and peanut butter. It feels you up quickly because it has good fat in it, but don’t over do it. Bananas are full of potassium and they boost your energy level. Raisins Bananas Lemons

Process raisins and press into a 9 x 9 pie pan. Then grate the zest on top. Juice lemons into a bowl. Slice bananas and add to the lemon juice. Stir gently to coat the bananas with the juice and pour into the pie. Decorate with poppy seeds, fruit, mint leaves, etc if desired.

Whoops! I was supposed to postthis yesterday for “Meatless Monday” but I guess I’ll share it with you for “Meatless Tuesday” LOL. This is a great low-calorie, filling snack that you can make quickly. Rice Cakes Organic Beefsteak Tomato Hass Avocado

Mash avocado meat in bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste. Spread the avocado onto each rice cake or slice of toasted bread, then top with 1 slice each of tomato. Top tomato with drizzled live oil and more pepper. Eat it like an open-faced sandwich or a pizza. A simple and healthy low-calorie and tasty snack! Done!

Elana’s Kale Chips

I love salt and vinegar flavoured crisps with a passion but haven’t indulged for years and to be honest – I miss them – a lot. I did try Inspiral Café’s dehydrated kale from Planet Organic but at $3.65 for a small tub it wasn’t ever going to make for an everyday snack nor feed my rabid addiction. So imagine my delight when my clever friend Laura sent me this recipe for lemon kale chips on elana’s pantry website. Elana cooks her kale for about 1015 minutes in a super hot oven. I’ve adapted her recipe for my dehydrator and I can tell you that either way – they’re addictive and very, very, very healthy. Ingredients 1 1

Kale Lemon

Into a nice big bowl, throw in the kale leaves, oil and juice and sprinkle the salt before mixing together ensuring all leaves are coated. Place the kale in the dehydrator for 24 hours at 40 C to ensure all the lovely and many nutrients and enzymes remain intact. Remember that heating above 40 C denatures the enzymes and is deemed ‘cooking’. If you are not blessed with an excalibur deluxe 9 tray as I am – just pop them on a baking tray in the oven and leave overnight on low heat… And serve.

This is a perfect starter smoothie for those wanting to venture into green smoothie land. The berries and banana mask the mild taste of baby spinach but you still get all the goodness of the greens. Known to many Massachusetts natives as an elementary lunch box staple, this Hyannis-based company had its humble beginnings in a tiny store front in 1980. The famous potato chips are still made and kettle-cooked in small batches, often right in front of the passing eyes of some 250,000 yearly factory tourists. Ingredients 250 g 1 litre

Organic potatoes Vegetable oil

Cut the potatoes into 1cm slices. Place the chips into a colander and rinse under cold running water. Heat the oil to 120째C in a deep-fat fryer or large, deep saucepan. Blanch the chips a few handfuls at a time in the fat for a couple of minutes. Do not brown them. Once they seem drier and slightly cooked remove from the fat and drain. Keep covered and at room temperature until needed. Reheat the fat to 200째C and cook the chips until golden and crisp about 5 - 8 minutes. Serve immediately.
