Message from the President Dear friends, It is a pleasure to welcome you to Topper Auction 2018, “There’s No Place Like Marquette University High School”. During our son’s four year journey, they develop habits of intellectual inquiry, compassion through service and courage through leadership. Thank you for your continued support that enables our young men to find home in God and knows that He love’s them and returns that love through prayer and service. I am grateful for the many dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers who have worked countless hours to make this year’s auction a great success. Join me in thanking our cochairs, Christine and Pat ’83 Keyes, Lori and Mike Lutze, Sally and Nic Wahl and Stephanie and Chris ’86 Walsh for their leadership, creativity and contributions.
My appreciation also extends to the individuals and companies that support the auction through sponsorships and advertising as well as to all who have generously donated items for our silent and voice auctions. Have a wonderful evening. With God’s Blessings,

Premium Wine Opportunity
Wines donated by Vino Veritas Wine Distributors, owned by Mark & Laura King (Jeremy ’18) This unique opportunity is available for the first time this year. Wine will be at your table for dinner, however you are also being given the opportunity to purchase a premium wine to enjoy if you choose. A designated table will be next to the registration table where you can purchase your premium wine for $50. A limited number of bottles will be available so be sure to get yours early. The entire $50/bottle will go to MUHS as the wine is being generously donated.
Wines available for purchase. Textbook Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 Napa Valley The 2016 Textbook Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits flavors of plums and blueberries. It shows an excellent acid structure and finishes with a soft elegant mouthfeel. A true “textbook” example of this noble variety grown in this outstanding appellation and that it can be enjoyed for several years to come. Sourced from three sites situated within the Stag’s Leap, Oak Knoll and Oakville AVAs, collectively, the wine showcases superlative “Napa Valley Cabernet” in a classic, delicious and wellmannered way. Woodenhead Pinot Noir 2014 Anderson Valley Rich ruby red in color, bright and clean. The wine literally jumps out of the glass upon pouring. Notes of violets, coriander, spices and red and black fruits. The palate is juicy with red and black fruits and cherries with hints of pomegranate and citrus rind. This wine will grow richer and more luxuriant in time, but is also excellent now! Lioco Chardonnay 2016 Sonoma County A unique Californian Chardonnay that’s a perfect combination of California and Burgundy. Aromas of lemon curd, green papaya and crushed chalk give way to flavors of green pear, vanilla bean and fennel pollen. The wine is bright, clean and fresh and exhibits incredible balance. Several Sonoma County vineyards compose this wine, with an emphasis on Dry Creek Valley, Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast AVAs.
