The purpose of this training is to form new technicians capable of providing maintenance and technical assistance on any type of sewing machine. These men were chosen for this training because they are close to the localities where Mujeres Autosustentables is present, which means they will be able to generate their self-employment by assisting the new workshops that are being created by our beneficiaries by aiding them with their sewing machine needs.

Because of the success of this first training session, SINGER has now planned to sponsor a bi-monthly training session for the people from the communities where Mujers Autosustentables is present. These technicians will not only help the beneficiaries from our program, but they will also help restore and fix the thousands of sewing machines that are stored and stowed away throughout the whole country.
