BETA CHAPTER JANUARY RECAP

- On January 16th, Martin Luther King Day, Beta Chapter, along with Mu Lambda chapter, participated in community Service that was the redecoration and cleaning of Sousa Middle School.

- On January 17th and 18th, Beta Chapter, Invited by Howard University President Wayne Frederick, traveled to Annapolis, Maryland and Attended the inauguration of Bro. Wes Moore as Governor of Maryland. Beta Chapter once again gives a congratulations to Bro. Moore for becoming Maryland’s first African-American Governor.

- On January 28th, Beta Chapter, in conjunction with IUL Chapter located in Montgomery County, Gave a college tour to prospective students on Howard University’s campus.

- On January 29th, Beta Chapter along with HUSA and Howard University’s Graduate Student Council, hosted Howard Students and Smithsonian National African American Museum of History and Culture

Upcoming announcements:

-Beta Chapter’s Brother 2 Brother Youth Conference will Take place on March 31st, 2023.

This will be the 30th Anniversary of the Conference. The “B2B” conference serves as Beta Chapter’s Go to High school Go to College National Program that brings 150-300 kids from all across the DC area. Various seminars focusing on the betterment and enrichment of black male youth are the focus and will include a Luncheon with a soon to be announced Keynote speaker.
