THE MULGRAVE ENDOWMENT THE MULGRAVE ENDOWMENT

2007

The Mulgrave Endowment Fund was established through the generosity of 6 Mulgrave families.

2019

With $1.2M and 4 named funds, the initial gifts continue to grow while supporting deserving students.

2024

Our goal is to raise an additional $3M in the coming years to bring our Endowment to $4M, allowing us to expand our financial aid programme.

2044

Through wise investment practices, the Endowment will reach $6M* in the next 25 years, ensuring that even more students will enjoy the benefits of a Mulgrave education.

What is an Endowment Fund?

It’s a fund where the original gift...

is invested & will grow over time...

with only the income (interest) from the fund spent % on causes you love (our school!) ...

* Estimated growth rate of 6% for future years and annual distribution of 4%. that will support our community forever.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND ENDOWMENT

Diversity is a vital part of our school’s ethos; the diversity of thought, ideas, experience, culture, and backgrounds that exist at Mulgrave contribute to a critical and compassionate understanding of the world around us. Through our scholarship programme, students with diverse backgrounds who have the potential to truly thrive at Mulgrave, are given the opportunity to study here regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.

In 2019-2020, we raised $280,000 and grew our endowment total to $1.48 million. For the 2020-2021 school year, 19 students will receive financial assistance thanks to the generosity of our donors. This includes six students from Afghanistan who have been awarded full scholarships.

The Mulgrave Foundation supports the school in achieving its mission to ‘Inspire Excellence in Education and Life’ and plays an essential role by overseeing the endowment fund for our scholarship programme. The Mulgrave Foundation is a BCregistered, not-for-profit society with charitable status. It is managed by a Board of Directors who are parents and alumni parents of the school. Their focus is on growing the endowment to establish a sustainable model for tuition not tied to the economy or the school’s annual revenue. The fund will help meet families’ needs, both locally and globally, through a financial relief model where eligibility is determined by an independent third party.
