Sugar, Ethanol and Bioenergy
Our sugar cane enrichment mill is located in Umuarama, in the Brazilian state of Paranå and it’s a benchmark for quality in the region, which contributes significantly to Brazil’s economy. It uses the most advanced technology to produce crystallized sugar, Ethanol, and electricity without hurting the environment. The production of electricity is clean and reusable and it powers the mill itself, which makes it self-sustainable. We estimate that the electricity produced shoud be enough to power a city of 400 thousand people. We use the sugar cane planted in our own land and also from partnerships with local producers that benefit from support programs to improve their production quality. Finally, meeting global demands is as important as taking care of the local communities.
