The silver tabs originally came from the Missguided warehouse. They are order packaging strips that are peeled off when an order is packaged & sealed. When I worked for Missguided as a design intern in 2016 during my university placement year, I noticed how many of these silver tabs were wasted just from the post bags being used in the head office for sample sales/posting to suppliers etc. So I requested that the warehouse collect them in bags for me from when they package cusotmer orders and then after a couple of days bring them over to the head office, after about 3 days they brought over 3 large bags full of silver tabs that would have otherwise gone to w a s t e . Each piece of fringing represents 1 order of clothing & symbolises the industries waste/ pollution & overconsumption of fast fashion.
