HOW THEY MET + PROPOSAL STORY: We met in high school and actually had a few classes together but we never hung out or talked much. We met back up after we were both in Lexington working. Our first date was in October 2016 and we were engaged by June of the next year! We were on a weekend trip to Bloomington, Indiana where Sam went to college. We went on a beautiful tour of the campus where Sam proposed on a quiet gazebo. It was such a special moment.

FIRST DATE?: We ended up going to Thursday Night Live in downtown Lexington, Kentucky which is essentially an outdoor concert that happens weekly during the summer. After the bands were done playing we explored downtown Lexington for the rest of the night.

DESCRIBE YOUR ENGAGEMENT SESSION. Our engagement session was awesome. It was super easy and fun to take pictures with my fiancé. We’ve both done a bit of modeling in the past, but it’s great to be able to shoot together. Our photographer did an amazing job and we couldn’t be happier with the end result!

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE THING(S) TO DO AS A COUPLE? We try to visit other cities and go to concerts and events whenever we can. We’re also very big fans of pizza buffets and arcades! We’re both giant kids at heart.

HOW HAS WEDDING PLANNING BEEN SO FAR? It has been stressful but exciting. There are a lot of moving parts and I am very particular with what I want. I just cannot wait until everything is planned and I can relax and enjoy the moment.

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST ON THE WEDDING DAY? Everything! The dress, the beautiful venue, the food, my dearest family and friends! And, of course, having all of my dreams come true by seeing Samuel Cooper at the end of the aisle waiting for me.
