Amanda and Corey first met while completing a critical care internship at a hospital in Louisiana. It was during breakfast following their night rotations where they would discuss life goals and aspirations, discovering even more shared commonalities. Eventually what began as a great friendship slowly developed into a boundless love for each other. Throughout their time together as medical students and professionals they always found a lifeline in the other - realizing that the connection they shared had the makings of permanence.

Almost ten years after their initial meeting, Corey reached out to Amanda’s family to receive permission in asking for her hand in marriage. With their blessing obtained, and following a sixteen-hour shift, Corey entered their home and upon finding the love of his life, got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of their lives together as husband and wife. It was an intimate and unforgettable romantic gesture, causing Amanda to “burst into tears of joy.”

For Amanda, the wedding shopping experience was a “fun and exciting time” shared with her family. Her final dress selection was a gorgeous Christina Rossi of Australia, with long sleeves, lace gown with champagne underlay, and a sweetheart neckline completed with a cathedral veil. Corey awaited his bride in a custom Sak’s tux, and within the beautiful gardens of the Vizcaya Museum, they were forever joined as husband and wife.

Best Memories: “I just remember the whole wedding being perfect and as a whole was a great memory. We were able to celebrate our union with 100 family and friends who traveled from various states across the United States.”

Advice for Engaged Couples: “Wedding advice for engaged couples would be to pace yourself and stick to your financial budget. You will second guess a lot of your decisions, but just remember your vision will come together how you expect with good judgment and planning.”
