Jasmine and Benjamin’s love story first began when they were set up on a first date by way of a mutual best friend’s introduction. After overcoming some initial shyness onBenjamin’s part, they “instantly bonded” over their shared interests, such as a love for cars, traveling, and culinary exploration. Realizing their connection was something special, one date led to another and before long they were inseparable. In Jasmine’s words, “you can say our chemistry turned to history.”

For Benjamin, he knew Jasmine was the one because he “couldn’t imagine life without her. She picks me up when I’m down, she knows best when I can’t think straight, supports me when my vision isn’t so clear and keeps me focused…” Upon when realizing that Jasmine would forever be the only person that completes him so entirely, Benjamin began planning their perfect proposal. And so it was, that during a trip to Antigua, while enjoying a sunset dinner beside the beach, a romantic dessert displaying his message, Benjamin got down on one knee and asked Jasmine for her hand in marriage.

For Jasmine, wedding shopping was an “exhausting” process, having tried on at least seventy dresses in four different states. Finally, after what seemed an endless journey, Jasmine found the dress of her dreams in Bridal Reflections on Fifth Avenue, NY. Jasmine was a vision in a silver Stephen Yearick, strapless mermaid gown with delicate beading and embroidery. Gracing the ballroom aisle of a picturesque waterfront venue in Baltimore, Jasmine joined Benjamin at the altar where he awaited his bride ina custom Miquel Wilson tux, and it was there in front of loving family and friends that they were forever joined as husband and wife.

Best Memories: Ben: “What sticks out to me is our first dance. It was just so magical and to look at my wife, MY wife, she was just so beautiful! In fact, my whole wedding was a dream come true thanks to our wonderful wedding planner Lola, her Masterplan Events team and the other vendors who all played a part in executing our vision with the utmost precision, professionalism and class. My wife and I will forever sing praises to all who helped make our day so special.”

Jasmine: “My best memory was walking into our reception for the first look and literally being breath-taken. So much work, time, and let's not forget money, went into making 8/18/18 a magical day for not only Ben and myself but for our family and friends. Even with all of the mock ups and vision boards, it still was so hard to picture exactly how everything would come together but I knew Lola and the amazing vendors we hired would do their best to bring our vision to life. They literally outdid themselves. I was a ball of emotions and cried tears of joy, it was so surreal. Ben reached into his pocket and so delicately wiped my tears with his handkerchief and said we did it. To this day, our family and friends and even complete strangers talk about our wedding and how beautiful it was.”

Advice for Engaged Couples: Jasmine: “Talk with your partner beforehand to make sure you are on the same page when it comes to what you want. Yes the wedding is an important part for many people and we all tend to have dreams of what we want, but the marriage is even more important so make sure you are communicating and constantly checking in. Lastly and most importantly, if you are having a wedding of any kind - hire a wedding planner! Their expertise and list of vendors are golden and will save you time, money and lots of unnecessary headaches.” Ben: “My advice is plain and simple and echoes my wife - get a wedding planner and have a working budget! Additionally, remember you are partners in this. There will be hiccups, there will be disagreements - just keep in mind: it's not you and your fiance against each other, it's you and your fiance against the problem.”
