Espresso Library is unique in its story & character as it was brought together by the interests of its founders; a chess enthusiast, a mathematician, a cyclist and a coffee lover, who all have the same appreciation for nutritious hearty food, delicious coffee and art history. THE COCK This local pub is far from your normal village pub, from the outdoor picturesque dining pods to their themed cuisine nights & their weekly charity quizzes. With a strong sustainable sourcing message, the menu celebrates the best of the local Cambridge produce. Start off your meal with a Harissa baked camembert, followed by the Jerusalem artichoke risotto & a mouth watering dark chocolate & mango delice.
THE CROWN & PUNCHBOWL Nestled in the heart of the quaint village of Horningsea, this pub is a perfect Sunday lunch stop whilst having a venture through the village. With its rural idyllic surroundings, its the perfect escape away from the city. Serving up a seasonal Modern British menu featuring Middle Eastern & Asian influence, from dishes such as the Moroccan spiced Cauliflower & Miso Glazed Aubergine.
THE MILLWORKS The unique concept of the Millworks features a North African inspired tapas style menu, with the option of the punt and dining package which includes an hour of punting plus dinner by the riverside dining area overlooking the milwheel. With a mix of flavourful flavour pairings, the tapas menu is sure not to disappoint featuring dishes such as: The hickory smoked celariac, mixed mushroom shish & smoked aubergine with date & chilli chutney.
THE THREE HORSESHOES Voted as Cambridgeshire's Dining Pub of the Year previously, the Three Horseshoes is a popular retreat for local residents, only 3 miles out of the heart of Cambridge. With its thatched cottage roof & inviting ambience, this is a real crowdpleaser. Their menu consists of hearty comforting classics and if you have a sweet tooth, you will love their extensive pudding menu, the coconut and mango cheesecake comes highly recommended.

Arjuna Whole Foods ( Left) A wholefood shop with heritage offering ethically sourced organic artisan food and a vegan deli bar which serves up a range of delicious salad boxes. All the bread is sourced from local artisan bakers, & the fruit and vegetables are all organic and sourced within a 10 mile radius.
Vanderlyle( Right) is a small independent restaurant that works with farmers to create ingredient centric dishes and drinks. The key focus is on sustainability & being completely vegetarian. Currently they are serving up Mediterranean style small plates, including their beetroot tartare & Paillasson potatoes.
Bedouin ( Above) This North African restaurant goes a step further with the unique setting of serving their food in a Bedouin tent. The menu features a range of tagines, couscous, traditional Turkish sides & the option to create your own tiffin with a main, side & dessert all in one.
196 bar ( Left) This bar is known as one of Cambridge's best kept secret bars, with their daily tapas & drinks menus using local Mill road suppliers. With many of the drinks taking on influence of cuisines of the surrounding restaurants.

Their limited edition Kimmi features their Dopplefillet with their limited edition 28 day matured kimchi- kraut, miso mayo, sriracha sauce, spring onions and sesame seeds.
BISCOFF BACON VICE @ VEGAN VICE Vegan Vice Club is known for its wacky combinations, funky atmosphere & eccentric cocktails. Their biscoff bacon vice is a limited edition special, featuring their crispy Vegan Vice burger, with crispy vegan bacon, crispy onions & biscoff sauce.
DIRTY BURGER @ STEM & GLORY Stem & Glory are infamous in Cambridge for being one of most talked about vegan spots, with many travelling just to visit Stem & Glory. Their dirty burger is one of the most popular dishes on the menu, with their homemade protein patty, topped with fermented cucumber, beetroot, ketchup, sriracha mayo & a southern slaw.
VEGAN CLASSIC @ BUTCH ANNIES Butch Annies, is famous for two things, their super size stacked burgers & Detroit pizzas, so whatever you are in the mood for Butch Annies has it covered. The vegan classic features a beetroot-based patty, topped with vegan cheese, mustard, ketchup, vegan mayo, gherkins & gem lettuce encased in a vegan brioche bun. You can swap every burger out for a vegetarian patty also!
VEGAN SMASH BURGER @ GORILLA & LAMB Gorilla & Lamb is known to be the location of the ice cream doughnut burger challenge. Many come for this sweet concoction and their quirky flavour pairings. Their vegan burger includes two smashed Beyond Meat patties sandwiched together with vegan cheese, topped with jungle pickles & their top secret sauce enclosed in a vegan brioche bun.
Cafe Foy THE PERFECT SPOT FOR SHASHUKA & PUNTING BY THE RIVER
Cafe Foy fully encapsulates what the Cambridge food scene is about: delicious hearty grub paired against the most scenic backdrops. The Cafe was named after "foy" being the word for a feast, drink or present being presented to a person before departing on a journey. This destination is a real hot spot for tourists, who stop here to get a taste of Cambridge's local delights. Infamous for their Shakshuka, the brunch menu offers both a vegan shakshuka, made with avocado & vegan yoghurt as well as their standard shakshuka, which gives you the option to top with feta & chorizo. As part of the lunch special, they also dish up epic seasonal toasties, with the staple of croque monsieur & madame always on the brunch menu. Dishing up also a selection of nibbles for dinner paired with their board of weekly specials featuring the ultimate comfort dishes such as: their brisket chilli & veggie tagine. Since the opening of the Tipsy Vegan Co. in Cambridge, the group has since expanded into Norwich and now offers the opportunity for themed supper clubs across both locations & venue hire. Located right by in the heart of the buzzing Quayside location with great views of the River Cam. They offer a fusion between South East Asian & Mexican style small plates for dinner, with the option of vegan charcuterie sharing boards and Friday through Sunday they serve up a delicious brunch as well.

SAUSAGE SHAKSHUKA
TAKING INSPIRATION FROM THE THE INFAMOUS MIDDLE EASTERN INSPIRED DISH THAT SEEMS TO BE EVERYWHERE ON CAMBRIDGE'S BRUNCH MENUS WHILE RECREATING USING OUR OWN QUORN OR CAULDRON VEGETARIAN SAUSAGE
INGREDIENTS (SERVES 2) 6 Quorn or Cauldron Sausages, (defrosted if using Quorn) 1 white onion thinly sliced 1 red pepper thinly sliced 2 tsp paprika 1 tsp cumin 1/2 tsp chilli powder 1 tin of chopped tomatoes 100g cherry tomatoes, halved 2 garlic cloves chopped 4 eggs 1/2 bunch parsley, chopped
METHOD 1. Preheat the grill to a medium high heat, place the sausages on a grill rack & grill for 5-6 minutes rotating every minute until evenly browned, 2. Then in a frying pan, heat to a medium heat, add 1 tbsp of oil fry the onions and garlic forr 5 minutes until softened, then add the red pepper, paprika, cumin & chilli powder and fry for an extra 2 minutes. 3. Then add the chopped tomatoes, increase the heat to a medium high heat and add the sausages back into the sauce, & season. 4. Then make 4 little pockets in the sauce & crack the eggs into those pockets, & cook for 10 minutes until the white is fully cooked & egg is still runny. Cover for the last 5 minutes. 5. Then sprinkle with the cherry tomatoes & parsley & serve with some crusty bread. Enjoy!
