Dear Regent Center Members,
We are exploring the possibility of offering new Social Clubs as part of your membership at the Regent Center and would love your feedback! These clubs would be a great way to connect with others who share similar hobbies and interests in a relaxed, social setting.
If there is enough interest, these clubs would be free with your membership, and we would provide available meeting space at the Regent Center or another location, along with communication on dates, times, and locations. Groups would meet in the morning on weekdays (Monday–Friday) based on availability. The frequency of meetings would be decided by each group.
To help these clubs get started, we would need volunteers to serve as club leaders. Members who can help coordinate and communicate on behalf of their club. Ideally, participants would provide their own supplies, but we can explore options for donations or available resources we may already have. For example we have a book club that meets once a month on Wednesdays.
Here are some ideas for potential other clubs:
• Crafting Club (crochet, knitting, quilting, etc.)
• Garden Club
We Need You!
We need volunteers to assist with lunch events or leading groups.
Questions? Visit the Regent Center Office to learn more.
• Fishing Club
• Walking Club (outdoor walks in nice weather, indoor track at the Community Center during extreme temperatures)
If you are interested in leading a club or have an idea for another club, please reach out to me.
Karyna Vickers, Recreation General Programs Supervisor kvickers@mundeleinparks.org or 847.388.5437
We hope these clubs will add value to your membership and provide more opportunities to socialize with your peers. Looking forward to hearing your ideas!
