Did you find yourself without heat during the recent cold snap? Those historically low temperatures took a toll on many residents in the Flower Mound area. In fact, many found themselves totally without heat.
In most cases, homeowners who receive professional maintenance on their home comfort systems twice per year found they were able to weather the storm. Of the calls we received during this historic event, more than 95% had not had their system maintained!
Maintaining your home’s comfort system for safety and efficient operation is one of the best ways to prevent breakdowns and ensure your system will continue to operate effectively through any tough weather condition. Following manufacturer recommendations to maintain your equipment means you should have maintenance on your cooling and heating equipment twice per year — once in the fall and once in the spring.
Now is the time to prepare your home comfort system so that it can weather the unbearably high temperatures that are just a few months away. But how do you know what should be done? To ensure that your system will operate efficiently when you need it the most, your spring maintenance should include the items listed on the right.
Any company you select should also have employees that have been background-checked and drug-tested for your family’s safety.
Covid-19 practices should be in place to include:
• Daily temperature checks of the technician
• Wearing of disposable gloves, shoe covers, and masks while inside your home
• Maintaining a six-foot social distance
In addition, we recommend a sanitizing fogger be used over any surface that has been touched by the technician entering your home. This should be done prior to departure.
Keeping your family safe and comfortable is of paramount importance!
