LISD CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT
Lewisville ISD Chief Financial Officer, Mark Youngs, announced that he will be retiring from the district in December 2021. He has been with the district since 2020. He came to LISD from Keller ISD, where he served as CFO for 13 years. Lewisville ISD wishes Mark Youngs all the best in his retirement.
REFLECTIONS PTSA CONTEST
The Reflections Arts Program encourages students to tap into their inner creativity and express themselves through their artwork. This year the theme of the contest is “I Will Change the World By”. Students can submit original artwork in one or more of six categories that consist of Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. PAUL HENLEY SELECTED AS FIRE CHIEF
The town of Flower Mound recently announced that it has named Paul Henley as its new fire chief after an extensive nationwide search. COFFEE WITH A COP
The Flower Mound Police Department holds “Coffee with a Cop” community meetings quarterly. At each quarterly meeting, our local Flower Mound Police officers are able to talk one-on-one with the residents of Flower Mound in an informal setting. Each meeting is held at a different location in hopes that they will be able to hear from all of the residents of Flower Mound.
FLOWER MOUND HIGH SCHOOL’S BASEBALL TEAM HOSTS 9TH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Flower Mound High School Jaguars Baseball Team Hosted their 9th Annual Golf Tournament. They would like to thank the family, friends, and fans of the Jaguar’s baseball team for coming out and supporting their event. THE MARCUS HIGH SCHOOL ACADEMIC DECATHLON TEAM TAKES FIRST PLACE
Recently, Marcus High School’s Academic Decathlon Team competed against all of the other Lewisville ISD schools and the team went home with first place overall.
