This recital is presented as a degree requirement towards a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies.
Violinist and composer Gianna Pedregon grew up in Whittier, California, where she started Suzuki classical violin at age four. She learned the beginnings of improvisation in the alternative strings group String Project LA, and at age eight she started jazz lessons. As part of the Pacific Jazz Ambassadors, she has had the privilege of playing with artists such as Marquis Hill, Melissa Aldana, Helen Sung, Samara Joy, Ashlin Parker, and Walter Smith.
