Julia Murillo is a music education major and trumpet performer from Northern California. She plans to graduate May 2023 with her bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. She has been an avid trumpet player for nine years and has played in a large variety of ensembles and settings. She has spent time professionally performing with numerous mariachi groups around Northern California and is passionate about teaching and mariachi culture. Julia plans to begin her career teaching music in Southern California next fall.
