TROMBONES DE COSTA RICA Trombones de Costa Rica (TCR) is an internationally established chamber music group. Since its foundation in 1991, it has thrilled audiences with educational and innovative programing which includes a wide range of musical genres. TCR has been heard throughout the world in venues such as Teatro Nacional and Teatro Melico Salazar, Costa Rica; Teatro Nacional, Ecuador; Centro de Bellas Artes, Puerto Rico; Teatro Xochipili, Mexico; and the Teatro Manuel de Falla, Spain. TCR has maintained a touring presence in the Europe, U.S., and Central and South Americas with appearances on national and international radio and television. TCR has been featured as soloists with ensembles such as United States Navy Band, Washington, D.C., Orquesta Sinfรณnica Nacional of Costa Rica, Orquesta Sinfรณnica Nacional of Ecuador, Banda Municipal de Santa Fe, Argentina, University of Miami Wind Ensemble, Oregon State Symphonic Band, and the Carroll University Wind Ensemble. TCR has commissioned repertoire from Costa Rican and international composers, resulting in important additions to the trombone literature. Their combination of classical repertoire with commissions and arrangements of Latin American folkloric music has created enduring connections with the public. Trombones de Costa Rica play exclusively on Edwards Instruments.
Trombones de Costa Rica wish to thank Professor Steve Perdicaris and the University of Pacific - Stockton administration for their support of this program.
