Youth Engagement Programme
YOUNG PEOPLE BEYOND THE STAGE
As well as large-scale live performance opportunities, Music for Youth is committed to working with young people in a range of ways, including: •Free workshops and tutorials from experts and selected MFY music mentors

•New regional and national programmes and opportunities in response to the needs of young people as expressed by them •Paid non-performance work experience roles, internships and pathways to jobs. At the Prom this year, we have four Young Reporters aged 19–21 working on our social media channels, conducting written and filmed interviews and creating content for our website, including our REMIX podcast.
We also worked with Young Reporters at our Digital National Festival in uly. The content they produced was especially well-received on our social channels, proving invaluable in supporting our communication with young people.
Each of our reporters found the experience highly rewarding and a valuable insight into working in the music charity sector.
“The entirety of MFY Remix 2021 was amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed watching musicians, whether they were young or established professionals, showcase their talent and creativity. I am in awe at how Music for Youth managed to do all this through an online platform and cannot wait for when we can come together in person in the near future!”
Meg Davies, Writer-Reporter

MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT TOGETHER
ADVERTORIAL
For more than 37 years Unity Trust Bank has supported businesses and organisations throughout the UK that share our vision in wanting to create a better society.
Our values are centred around fostering inclusivity and diversity and the positive impact they can make, and that is why we are proud supporters of Music for Youth.
As the UK’s national youth music charity, Music for Youth helps transform young people’s lives through the power of music and delivers large-scale events which are inclusive of the full range of music genres and performing groups. Unity and Music for Youth’s shared goal is to create life-affirming experiences for young people, regardless of background or musical ability, and provide inspiring and supportive development opportunities to help them realise their full potential.
As a bank with a social conscience, we align our business and practices to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which provide skills, training and education, and greater access to inclusive, meaningful and quality employment. Growing at more than 25 per cent per annum, we believe in delivering positive social impact, not simply maximising profit, and only lend to organisations that make a positive contribution to social, economic and environmental needs.
With specialist sector expertise, we have supported the provision of good quality education in local communities as well as the creation of jobs, training opportunities, affordable housing, community and healthcare facilities.
Headquartered in Brindleyplace, Birmingham, our ambition is to become the lender of choice for all sociallyminded organisations in the UK.

A message from the Chief Executive of the Royal Albert Hall
Welcome back! After the toughest period in our 150-year history, we’re delighted to open our doors again, and play host to very special events like this one.
The Hall is a registered charity committed to providing unforgettable, life-enhancing experiences for everyone. Though the last 16 months have been dicult for us all, we are so excited to be getting back to what we do best. Welcoming other charities to our spectacular building has been part of our commitment to the public good since the Hall opened in 1871 and it is a privilege to be able to continue to support other causes in this way.
We also run our own Engagement programme which creates memories, changes lives and provides inspiration through music for all, through a wide range of exciting opportunities linked to the Hall’s calendar of events and the unique characteristics of the building.
I would like to thank you for your continued support of the Hall – just by being here today you are helping our recovery. I look forward to sharing our ongoing 150th anniversary celebrations with you in the months and years to come – see you soon!
