Originally a member of jazzfusion band L.A. Express, he released his first solo album The Inside Story in 1976, and began touring the world under his own name in 1988 on the back of Talk To Your Daughter. Five Grammy nominations later, he has also collaborated with musicians as diverse as Miles Davis, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, George Harrison and KISS over a 44 year career of prolific touring and recording. In 2010, Robben formed his first rock band, Renegade Creation, along with Michael Landau, Jimmy Haslip and Gary Novak. They released Bullet in 2012 – a work sharing the same top-notch musicianship, energy and enthusiasm which characterises his live shows. “The idea was to not re-invent the wheel,” says Ford. “Everyone knows the blues. My concept was to put great players together with songs that have deep roots and rich emotional terrain, and to just let something beautiful happen. As it turns out, that’s exactly what occurred.”This is a seated show. The Arches, Glasgow. Enter through Argyle
