Born To Be Wide Edinburgh Night. The event provides a musical snapshot of Scottish acts performing during the Fringe, with each playing ten minute live set. These minigigs are interspersed with DJs from the local scene playing their favourite four tracks by Edinburgh artists. The Pop Cop's Sarah McMullan is set to join a line-up which already includes Barrie Henderson who books acts at Henderson's restaurant, Edinburgh International Book Festival programmer, Roland Gulliver, who has overseen the increase in music content at the event, and George Robertson from Edinburgh's leading vinyl record emporium, Vox Box. They are joined by Lloyd Meredith [Olive Grove Records], Nicola Meighan [The List/The Herald], Caroline Parkinson [Creative Scotland] and Alan Morrison [Sunday Herald]. MACFLOYD: At East Kilbride’s ‘Village Theatre’, Maxwell Drive. 8pm £15/ £13 - call 01355 261000. MacFloyd (Scottish Pink Floyd) return to the Village Theatre in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Floyd's classic "The Dark Side Of The Moon" album which will see them perform this masterpiece in it's entirety. The festival was founded in 1982 and since then has grown into one of Scotland's most popular and unique arts events. Each year, 80 or so exhibitions are housed in ingenious exhibition spaces created from artists' studios, garages, courtyards and gardens. Come along, stroll around the village, see the artworks for sale and meet the artists. Cabaret music evenings throughout the festival.
